Ultimately, my problem with the Beth and Jerry divorce/not-divorce dance is that it distracts from the real meat of the show. The wild concepts, the clever writing, the characters’ internal conflicts. Instead of exploring a new planet populated entirely by sentient breakfast cereals, we're stuck watching another awkward family dinner.
