Requiem Of The Rose King Richard And Henry

Okay, let's talk Requiem of the Rose King. We all watched it, right? Some of us screamed, some cried, and some (like me) were just… confused.
It’s a wild ride, that’s for sure. But can we all admit something kind of… controversial?
Team Richard: An Unpopular Opinion?
I know, I know, he’s morally grey. He’s got a lot of baggage. But hear me out: Richard is kind of the best, right?
Must Read
He's complex. He's tragic. He’s got that whole misunderstood vibe going on. Don't tell me you didn't feel a little sorry for him sometimes.
Sure, he makes questionable decisions. But at least he makes decisions! He's a protagonist in the truest sense of the word.
Let's be honest, the series wouldn’t be nearly as interesting without his chaotic energy. Give the guy a break, he had a lot going on.

And Then There's Henry...
Now, let’s talk about Henry. Sweet, gentle Henry. The guy who probably smelled like sunshine and lavender.
He's like a golden retriever in human form. Adorable? Absolutely. Compelling television? Debatable.
Look, I get the appeal. He’s kind. He’s pretty. He's the opposite of Richard in almost every way imaginable.
But sometimes, being nice just isn't enough. He feels a bit… passive. Like he’s just along for the ride.

Maybe that’s what Richard needed. Someone calm. Someone to balance out the darkness. But as a viewer, sometimes you want a little more spark.
I'm sorry, but I can only handle so much passive acceptance of fate. I need some drama!
The Ship That Sailed (or Sank)
The Richard and Henry relationship? A rollercoaster. Full of angst, longing, and enough unresolved tension to power a small city.
We were all rooting for them, right? Even knowing how it all tragically ends (history, spoilers, blah blah blah).

But sometimes I wonder... was Henry really the best match for Richard? Or was he just a symbol of the normalcy Richard craved but could never truly have?
It's a tough question. Their connection was undeniable. But their personalities? Oil and water, maybe?
Maybe Richard needed someone who could match his intensity. Someone who understood the darkness inside him, not just try to shine a light on it.
So, What's the Verdict?
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate Henry. He’s a good egg. A diamond in the rough.

But when it comes to captivating characters, Richard just steals the show. He's the anti-hero we love to hate (or just plain love).
Perhaps this makes me a terrible person. But I'm sticking to my unpopular opinion: Team Richard all the way!
What do you think? Am I completely off my rocker? Or did anyone else feel the same way? Let the debates begin!
