Real Husbands Of Hollywood More Kevin More Problems Season 2

Okay, let's talk Real Husbands of Hollywood Season 2: More Kevin, More Problems. I know, I know, everyone loves this show. But hear me out!
Is it just me, or did Season 2 lean way too heavily into the Kevin Hart show? I mean, he's funny. Undeniably hilarious. But...
The Kevin Show ft. Some Other Guys
Season 1 felt like an ensemble. Everyone got a chance to shine. Boris Kodjoe and JB Smoove had great storylines. Even Nick Cannon's beef with Kevin was good for a laugh.
Must Read
Season 2? Suddenly, it felt like everyone else was just orbiting Kevin's orbit. Less organic interplay. More "Kevin being Kevin, and everyone reacting."
Don't get me wrong. The jokes were still there. The awkward celebrity encounters were still funny. But that ensemble dynamic? Gone.
Where Did the Other Guys Go?
Remember Robin Thicke's character? Hilariously clueless! Seemed like he barely had any screen time in the second season.

And what about Duane Martin? He had some funny moments. But it felt rushed. Shoehorned in. Not the same development he had in Season 1.
The whole premise was supposed to be about the absurd lives of these "real" husbands. Season 2 started feeling like "The Very Real Life of Kevin Hart, and his celebrity pals."
The Jokes Were Still There (Mostly)
Okay, I'll admit it. Some of the gags were gold. Kevin's constant need to one-up everyone? Classic.

The celebrity cameos were also great. Remember Snoop Dogg? Priceless. But even those cameos felt like they existed to play off Kevin.
It’s like the writers thought: "More Kevin is always better." And maybe, just maybe, they were wrong.
Am I Alone In This?
Maybe it's an unpopular opinion. Maybe everyone else loved the increased focus on Kevin. But I missed the balanced humor of Season 1.

The show had this beautiful, chaotic energy in its first season. Season 2 felt more... controlled. More curated. Less spontaneous.
I wanted more of Nelly's awkwardness. More of Boris trying to be the reasonable one. More ridiculous arguments between Nick and Kevin. Not just...Kevin.
In Conclusion: Still Funny, But...
Look, I'm not saying Season 2 was bad. It was still funny. It still made me laugh.

But it wasn't the same. It lost some of its original charm. That chaotic, ensemble magic was gone.
Maybe I just have a deep-seated need for equitable screen time. Or maybe, just maybe, "More Kevin, More Problems" was a bit too accurate. What do you think?
Someone had to say it!
