Queen Of The South Season 3 Episode 9

Okay, Let's Talk Queen of the South: Season 3, Episode 9
Alright, Queen-aholics, gather 'round! We need to chat about that one episode. You know the one. Season 3, Episode 9. Dun dun DUNNN!
Specifically, I have some thoughts. Maybe even some... unpopular thoughts. But hey, that's what makes things interesting, right?
Am I the Only One Who...?
Is it just me, or was this episode a tad slow? I mean, we love Teresa Mendoza, but even she has off days. Right?
Must Read
Don't get me wrong, the tension was there. You could practically cut it with one of James's knives.
But compared to some of the other episodes? It felt like a breather. Maybe a little too much of a breather.
The Alice Situation
Okay, let's address the elephant in the room. Alice. Sweet little Alice. Getting caught in the crossfire.

We all felt terrible for her, obviously. Nobody wants to see a kid hurt.
But, and this is a big but, was it really that surprising? This isn't a Disney movie, people! Bad things happen in the drug world!
That Guero Dream Sequence
Oh, Guero. Remember Guero? The one we all thought was dead, then wasn't, then maybe was again?
The dream sequence with him and Teresa was...nice, I guess. Sentimental. All that jazz.

But did we really need it? I felt like it dragged on a bit. Like they were trying to remind us he existed.
Boaz... Doing Boaz Things
Boaz Jimenez. What can you even say? He's a human tornado of crazy. A walking, talking disaster.
In this episode, he was extra... Boaz-y. Which, honestly, is saying something.

While his antics were definitely cringe-worthy, I kinda love to hate him. He makes things...interesting. Extremely messed up interesting, but interesting nonetheless.
The Pote Factor
Can we all just agree that Pote Galvez is a national treasure? Seriously, the man deserves a medal.
Even in a slightly slower episode, Pote delivers. His loyalty, his humor, his... everything! He's the best.
He needs his own spin-off show. "The Adventures of Pote." I'd watch it. Wouldn't you?

Overall Impression?
Look, Season 3, Episode 9 wasn't bad. It just wasn't a standout. More of a building block than a showstopper.
It moved the plot forward, set up some future conflicts, and reminded us that bad guys are, well, bad.
But am I alone in thinking it's one of the more forgettable episodes? Maybe. But I stand by it!
"Sometimes, even the Queen needs a day off." - My Unpopular Opinion
So, what do you think? Am I completely off my rocker? Let me know! Let's debate! Let's Queen of the South!
