Pretty Little Liars Season 7 How Many Episodes

Okay, let's talk Pretty Little Liars. Specifically, season 7. And even more specifically, how many episodes it had.
Ready for my super controversial opinion? Prepare yourselves.
Season 7: The Longest Goodbye Ever?
So, season 7. It was supposed to be the end, right? The big finale! We were promised answers. And more importantly, we were promised closure.
Must Read
But did we get it? Debatable. What we definitely got was... a lot of episodes.
The Episode Count: Let's Break it Down
Brace yourselves. Season 7 of Pretty Little Liars clocked in at a whopping 20 episodes. Yes, twenty.
Twenty episodes to finally unmask A.D., figure out who was related to whom (still confused about that, tbh), and give everyone a happy ending. Seemed like enough time, right?
Except... well, let's just say some of those episodes felt a little... stretched.

My Unpopular Opinion: Too Much Filler?
Okay, here it comes. My totally unpopular opinion: Season 7 could have been, like, half the length.
Don't get me wrong! I love the Liars. I do! But did we really need that many scenes of them looking suspiciously at each other? Or whispering in dark corners?
I mean, come on! We knew they were all secretly guilty of something anyway. It's Rosewood, after all.
And the new characters? Some were great! Some felt… unnecessary. Did we need them all? Probably not.

Was it Worth It?
Look, despite my complaints (and trust me, I have many), I did watch every single one of those 20 episodes. Twice.
Because that's what you do when you're invested in a show like Pretty Little Liars. You suffer through the questionable plot lines and the unbelievable coincidences.
You hold onto the hope that maybe, just maybe, everything will make sense in the end.
And in some ways, it did. Sort of. Kind of. Maybe.
But honestly? I think they could have told the whole story in a tighter, more focused season. Imagine, just 10 episodes of pure, unadulterated PLL craziness. That would've been epic.

A Case for Less is More
Think about it. Less filler, more thrills. Less relationship drama (okay, maybe a little relationship drama), more A.D. mayhem.
It could have been a masterpiece! A perfectly crafted season of suspense, secrets, and stylish outfits.
Instead, we got 20 episodes. And while I don't regret watching them (okay, maybe a few), I can't help but wonder what could have been.
In Conclusion: More PLL Thoughts
So, yeah. Season 7 had 20 episodes. A lot, in my humble (and probably wrong) opinion.

But hey, at least we finally found out who A.D. was, right? Right?
...Don't ask me to explain the plot. I still don't get it.
And shoutout to Marlene King for giving us all this chaos. We love to hate it. We hate to love it.
Pretty Little Liars is a wild ride. And I’m pretty sure the writers were on a wild ride when they wrote it!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch the first season. Back when things were... simpler? (Narrator: They weren't.)
