My Hot Takes on the Trailer

First off, let's talk about Tariq. Poor guy. He's always in some kind of mess. Though, let’s be honest, he's kind of the reason for most of it, isn't he?

Is it just me, or does he look even more tired in this trailer? Someone get that man a vacation! Or at least a decent night's sleep that doesn’t involve dodging bullets.

Monet is STILL the Boss

Now, Monet Tejada. My queen! Angela Bassett would be so proud. This woman could sell ice to Eskimos, and I'd probably buy it.

She's always got a scheme cooking. Even when she's supposedly "calm," you know something's about to go down. Anyone else secretly rooting for her to win? Unpopular opinion, maybe.

Her family drama is seriously next level. I need a flow chart just to keep up with who’s mad at who and why. Someone please write a Tejada family guide book.

The Romantic Entanglements, Oh Boy

Let’s not forget about the love life chaos. Tariq and…well, everyone. He’s like the heartthrob criminal of the year.

Is he going to pick Effie? Lauren? Will someone new pop up to complicate things even further? The suspense is killing me! (But also, kind of predictable?)

Honestly, half the time I'm watching, I'm more invested in the romantic drama than the drug dealing. Don’t judge me.

The Stakes Are Getting Higher (Obviously)

Okay, obviously, the trailer promises serious consequences. Deaths, double-crosses, the whole shebang. It's Power after all.

But does anyone else feel like they say that every season? “This is the most dangerous season yet!” We get it, show. It's always dangerous.

Here's where I might get some flak. Ready? I think Power Book II: Ghost is lowkey better than the original Power.

Fight me! Hear me out: Tariq is a more interesting character than Ghost. He’s more flawed. More relatable in a messed up way.

Okay, maybe not relatable. But definitely more complex. Plus, the Tejadas are way more entertaining than the St. Patricks, in my opinion. Sorry not sorry.

What I'm REALLY Hoping For

Look, all I want from this finale is a satisfying conclusion. No cheap cliffhangers just for the sake of it. Give us some closure. Or at least, some epic explosions.

And can someone, anyone, please give Tariq a break? He's earned it. (Probably not, but I can dream, right?)
