The Finale That Wasn't Quite...Final Enough?
I’m going to say it. Prepare yourselves. Season 2's finale? Slightly underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, there were explosions, betrayals, the whole shebang. But did it really deliver?
Maybe my expectations were too high. I wanted a mic drop moment. Instead, I got a decent season closer that felt more like a setup for Season 3. Which, to be fair, isn’t necessarily bad.

Let's address the elephant in the room. Tariq. Is he growing on anyone else? Or am I alone in thinking he's actually becoming... likable? (Don’t hate me!)
I used to roll my eyes every time he was on screen. Now? I'm almost rooting for him. Almost. He's still making questionable choices, but at least they’re entertaining questionable choices.
And the whole "drug dealer with a heart of gold" thing? It's working! A little. Okay, maybe just a smidge. But progress is progress!

Oh, the drama! Lauren, Diana, Effie. It’s a tangled web Tariq’s woven. And let’s be honest, it’s kind of a mess.
I'm not sure who I want him to end up with (or if he should end up with anyone at all!). Each relationship is so complicated, with its own set of lies and betrayals. Can we get a flowchart, please?
Seriously, charting the romantic connections in this show requires a PhD in dramatic relationships. But hey, that's what keeps us coming back, right?
The Villains We Love (To Hate)
Let's give it up for the villains! Monet Tejada is a force of nature. Cold, calculating, and utterly ruthless. I both fear and admire her.
And Cane? He's just delightfully unhinged. You never know what he's going to do next, which makes him incredibly compelling to watch. Is it bad that I'm secretly hoping for a Cane redemption arc?
I know, I know, he’s done terrible things. But a little bit of good deep down in there, perhaps? A girl can dream.
Unpopular Opinion Time: Zeke Deserved Better
Okay, this is where I might lose some of you. But I’m saying it anyway. Zeke deserved better. Poor guy never stood a chance.
He was just trying to live his life, play basketball, and be happy. And what did he get? Tragedy. It was a rough plot twist. I still think about Zeke!
I know shows like this need drama and stakes, but come on! Give the guy a break! R.I.P. Zeke, you deserved a better ending.
Final Verdict: Still Hooked!
Despite my minor gripes, I’m still completely invested in Power Book II: Ghost. The characters are complex, the plot twists are wild, and the fashion is impeccable.
So, did the Season 2 finale blow my mind? Not entirely. But did it leave me wanting more? Absolutely. I’ll be tuning in for Season 3, popcorn in hand, ready for whatever craziness Ghost throws our way.
