A new VR game, a new mystery! Kirito's recruited to investigate a series of deaths in Gun Gale Online (GGO), a futuristic shooter. Prepare for… guns! Lots and lots of guns.

4. Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale (Movie)

7. Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night and Scherzo of Deep Night (Movies)

These movies are a retelling of the Aincrad arc from Asuna's perspective! They add new scenes and deepen the characters. A wonderful new experience to relive the first season!

Seeing the early days of SAO through Asuna's eyes is refreshing. Plus, the animation is gorgeous!

Important Side Quests (Optional, But Fun!)

There are a few side stories and specials that you can watch whenever you want. They are short and sweet, offering fun little adventures with your favorite characters.

Sword Art Online: Extra Edition, for example, recaps the first season and includes a new adventure. Also Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online is another story by a different author, this is a story with familiar roots, but also stands on its own.
