Only Murders In The Building Episode 4 Review

Episode 4 of Only Murders: Did We Just Find Our Killer? (Maybe!)
Okay, Arconiacs, let's dish! Episode 4 of Only Murders in the Building Season 3 just dropped, and wowza, things are getting spicy! We're diving deeper than ever into the chaotic world of the theater, and the suspects are multiplying faster than opening night jitters.
Dickie's Dilemma and Loretta's Love Life
This episode really puts Dickie Glenroy, Ben's brother, under the spotlight. He's frantic, he's flustered, and he's got a whole lot of secrets bubbling to the surface. Is he covering for someone, or is he genuinely just a stressed-out bro trying to keep things together?
And speaking of secrets, Loretta Durkin! Turns out our beloved, albeit struggling, actress has a history with Dickie. Could their connection be more than just professional?
Must Read
The scene where Mabel and Oliver are tailing Loretta and see her and Dickie in a deep conversation in the park is pure gold. The awkwardness is palpable, and the theories start flying!
Mabel's Moment of Truth (or Maybe Confusion?)
Mabel is really stepping up her game this season. She's got a new love interest (finally!), and she's got a renewed focus on solving the mystery. But her personal life might be clouding her judgment.

She starts to see things, and has a gut feeling that one of the actors is the killer. Is Mabel’s intuition finally leading her to the truth, or is she getting distracted by the glitz and glamour of show business?
Her interaction with Tobert during their stakeout is very interesting. Are we seeing the birth of a new romance or a budding partnership to find the truth?
Oliver's Opener
Meanwhile, Oliver Putnam is battling his own demons. His show is in jeopardy, his leading lady is a suspect (maybe?), and he's still recovering from his near-death experience.

Oliver decides to shake things up by starting with a new beginning. In a desperate attempt to fix the play, Oliver decides to start from scratch with a brand new first act.
His unwavering optimism is hilarious, especially when paired with the increasingly bizarre events unfolding around him. You gotta love his dedication!
Highlights and Head-Scratchers
The humor in this episode is top-notch, as always. The writers are masters at blending the serious mystery with laugh-out-loud moments.

I'm particularly enjoying the meta-commentary on theater itself. The egos, the anxieties, the sheer ridiculousness of it all - it's all perfectly captured.
The way the show is cleverly dropping clues is just perfect. You really need to pay attention to every single detail.
But with all the new information, I can't help but wonder, is the answer right in front of us? Or are we being led down another elaborate red herring path?

Final Verdict
Episode 4 is another solid entry in a fantastic season. It’s funny, suspenseful, and full of intriguing twists. It also gives everyone reason to pause and question their motives.
The suspect list is getting longer, the stakes are getting higher, and I am absolutely here for it! I rate it as must-watch episode, and I am extremely curious to see what the upcoming episodes bring.
So, Arconiacs, what are your theories? Let's discuss!
