Only Fools And Horses Specials In Order

Alright, Listen up, you plonkers! Let's talk Only Fools and Horses specials. You know, those festive episodes that always seemed to pop up around Christmas?
Now, everyone's got their favourite. I'm here to throw a spanner in the works!
The Trotter Family Christmas Line-Up
Let's go through these legendary episodes in the order they aired. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
Must Read
Christmas Crackers (1981)
Ah, 1981. The first ever Christmas special. Not bad for an early adventure.
But seriously, it's a bit slow compared to what we'd come to expect from Del Boy and the gang.
Diamonds Are for Heather (1982)
Diamonds Are for Heather sees Del falling for an auctioneer. It's funny, sure.
However, it's not exactly one you'd remember vividly compared to later classics.
Hole in One (1984)
Here's where things get interesting. They are trying to sell the golf equipment, remember.
This one's got its moments, but nothing groundbreaking.

A Royal Flush (1986)
This special has Del and Rodney invited to a posh dinner. How fun!
It is a bit bizarre, even by Only Fools standards.
The Frog's Legacy (1987)
This one is split into two parts. They uncover a load of gold bullion.
It is a solid story, but not top tier.
Dates (1988)
Rodney's on the hunt for love again. This never ends well, does it?
This is a reasonable episode but it is not one of the strongest.
The Jolly Boys' Outing (1989)
The infamous Margate trip! A coach explosion! Absolute chaos.

Many consider this one of the best. I think it's overrated.
Rodney Come Home (1990)
Rodney Come Home is another classic. Rodney has marriage problems.
It's funny, and it has those trademark moments, but I think there are better episodes.
Miami Twice (1991)
The two-parter where Del meets his doppelganger, a Mafia boss. A change of scenery!
It's enjoyable, sure, but does it truly capture the essence of what made Only Fools and Horses great?
Mother Nature's Son (1992)
Del gets involved in selling bottled water. It is a very 90s plot line.
It is alright, but there is nothing special to be honest.

Time On Our Hands (1996)
The legendary episode where they finally become millionaires. Finally! Remember the antique clock?
This is probably the fan favourite and ends the series. But, unpopular opinion: it's not my absolute favourite.
Heroes and Villains (1996)
Batman and Robin! Need I say more? Rodney and Del dress up for a fancy dress party.
It is pure gold. Actually hilarious.
Modern Men (2001)
The Trotters are still trying to make a living. But the world has changed.
This is a decent return. It did not quite capture the old magic.
Time Flies (2002)
They head to France for Boycie's birthday. Then things, of course, go wrong.

Another solid outing. Still the golden days are gone.
Strangers on the Shore (2002)
Del thinks he has found love again. Surprise, surprise!
Also not that impressive.
Sleepless in Peckham (2003)
The last ever episode! It's sentimental, it's heartwarming.
It is an ok ending to the series.
My Hot Take
So, there you have it! Every Only Fools and Horses special in order. What did you think?
Do you agree with my slightly controversial opinions? Probably not, you bunch of Del Boys!
