Once Upon A Time Season 2 Episode 1

Magic is Back, Baby! (and So is Chaos)
Okay, so everyone's favorite fairytale characters are finally out of Storybrooke, thanks to Emma Swan breaking the curse. But freedom comes with a price – and that price is a whole lot of uncontrolled magic!
Imagine a world where your emotions literally manifested as vines tangling around your town. That’s the reality in the Enchanted Forest now! Talk about a bad hair day.
Welcome to the Messy Enchanted Forest 2.0
The gang, Emma, Snow White, Prince Charming, Regina, Mr. Gold (aka Rumplestiltskin), and even Captain Hook (surprise!) are all back in the Enchanted Forest. Though, “back” might be too generous a word. More like “plunged into utter chaos.”
Must Read
Emma and Snow White are especially hilarious because they're suddenly thrown into the deep end of fairytale adventures they only read about. Sword fighting? Check. Dodging magical creatures? Double-check. Trying not to accidentally set things on fire with newly awakened magic? You betcha!
Regina, of course, is her delightfully evil self. Even without the curse, she's still got that wicked flair. She is hilarious in the episode with her usual sarcastic comebacks and her struggle to control her magic.

Hook's Hooky Entrance
Let's be honest, Captain Hook's arrival is anything but subtle. He literally drops in, swashbuckling and smirking, ready to cause trouble. This guy knows how to make an entrance.
He’s got a beef with Rumplestiltskin, naturally. And he's charmingly roguish, so you can’t help but be a little bit intrigued, even if you know he’s probably up to no good.

The Giant Problem (Literally!)
Remember giants? Yeah, those massive, grumpy folks from fairytale lore? They’re back, and they’re not happy! One particular giant has a bone to pick with Prince Charming. Talk about awkward family reunions.
The sheer size difference between the heroes and this giant makes for some pretty comical scenes. It’s like watching a bunch of toddlers trying to take down a very large, very annoyed toddler. Though, the giant has better teeth, sadly.
Rumple's Got a Secret (Shocker!)
Rumplestiltskin, in true Rumplestiltskin fashion, is keeping secrets. Big ones. And those secrets involve a mysterious object he's desperate to protect. What could it be? Who knows, but you just know it's going to cause some serious trouble later on.

It’s always fun to watch Rumple play his games, even when you know he’s probably manipulating everyone around him. That sneaky devil!
Emma and Snow: Mother-Daughter Bonding (with Monsters!)
At its core, this episode is about Emma and Snow White finally getting a chance to be a mother and daughter. But instead of cozy chats and shopping trips, they're facing killer plants and grumpy giants. Classic fairytale bonding, really.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, of course! They are captured and taken to King George's castle. But Emma and Snow White are together and we can assume they are going to fight together.
Overall, "Broken" is a fun and chaotic start to Season 2. It throws our heroes into a world of magic and danger, reminding us that even happy endings come with a whole new set of problems. Buckle up, folks, because things are about to get wild!
"Magic is power." - Rumplestiltskin.
