Okay, let’s talk about something important. Something truly... vital. Has anyone else been waiting, like, FOREVER for Okamisan and Her Seven Companions Season 2?
Seriously, it feels like ages since we last saw Ryoko and her quirky crew. I’m starting to think they've just decided to permanently run the Otogi Bank from a remote island. No phone, no internet, just pure chaos and loan repayments.
The Unpopular Opinion (Maybe?)
Here’s where it gets controversial. I know many of you are die-hard Ryoshi fans. But, and please don’t throw virtual tomatoes at me, I think the show could be even better without focusing solely on their romance.

Yes, yes, I know. It’s adorable (sometimes). But the real magic of Okamisan lies in the supporting characters. They are the unsung heroes!
Exhibit A: Ringo
Okay, Ringo is obviously adorable. She’s the little red riding hood of mayhem. I wouldn't mind seeing more of her mischievous plans and general adorableness. Give her a spin-off, I say!
She's the perfect blend of sweet and slightly sinister. A truly rare and wonderful combination.
Exhibit B: Alice Kiriki
Let’s not forget Alice and her love of comfy things. She's basically all of us on a Sunday morning. Give this woman more screen time!
Imagine a whole episode dedicated to her quest for the perfect nap. The possibilities are endless.
Exhibit C: Liszt Kiriki
And then there is her older sister, Liszt Kiriki! The quiet one, she is usually sitting beside Alice reading her book. I always wonder what's on her mind and what kind of book is she reading.
Her calm demeanor is a perfect balance for the rest of the crew.
More Mayhem, Please!
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the occasional awkward confession from Ryoshi. But I'd love to see the Otogi Bank tackle even crazier requests. Think fairytale-themed heists and ridiculously elaborate schemes.
Imagine them having to recover a stolen glass slipper. Or negotiate a peace treaty between warring garden gnomes. The potential is limitless! The writers just need to unleash their inner goofball.
They could even introduce new characters! Maybe a rival "bank" run by reformed villains. Or a talking animal that offers questionable advice. I am just spit balling here.
Season 2: A Wish List
So, if (and it’s a big if) we ever get a second season, here's my plea. More focus on the ensemble cast. Crazier storylines. More random acts of kindness (and chaos). And, for the love of all that is anime, a Ringo spin-off!
Is that too much to ask? Probably. But a girl can dream, right?
Because honestly, more Okamisan in any form would be a win. Even if Ryoshi finally manages to confess his feelings (again).
Let us hope that someone hears my desperate plea and brings this show back!
