Nura Rise Of The Yokai Clan Demon Capital

Okay, Hear Me Out About Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan
Let's talk Nura. You know, that anime with the charming demon dude? I've got some thoughts. They might be a bit spicy.
Ready? Good. Let's dive in.
Demon Capital: A Bit… Much?
So, the Demon Capital arc. It's got its moments, right? Like, cool battles and all that jazz.
Must Read
But sometimes, I feel like it dragged on a tiny bit. Maybe just a teensy bit too long for its own good?
Don't get me wrong, I love a good shonen showdown. But pacing, people! Pacing is key.
Rikuo: Relatable or Annoying?
And then there's our boy, Rikuo Nura. Torn between human and yokai worlds. Classic anime dilemma.
I get it, internal conflict is his thing. But sometimes I just wanted to shake him! Pick a side already!

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel this way?
The Hyakki Yakou: More Like the Hyakki Wait-A-While-For-Their-Turn, Am I Right?
The Hyakki Yakou, Rikuo's band of yokai followers. Awesome concept, visually stunning. No arguments there.
But let's be honest, some of them barely get any screen time. It's like, "Hey, here's this cool monster... annnnnd, he's gone."
Justice for the background yokai! They deserve better.

Is It Just Me, Or…?
Okay, so maybe the power scaling got a little wonky towards the end? Things seemed to escalate really quickly.
One minute they're fighting regular yokai. The next minute, they're battling ancient deities. Talk about a jump!
Did anyone else feel like they missed a few steps along the way?
Let's Talk Villains
Hagoromo Gitsune is terrifying. I will not dispute that. A seriously creepy villain.

But some of the other antagonists felt a bit… generic? Like they were just there to be punched.
A little more depth, please! Give me some tragic backstories!
Unpopular Opinion Time
Okay, here comes the real heat. This is the one that might get me some angry comments.
I kind of… preferred Rikuo in his human form? Gasp! I know, I know, blasphemy!

But something about the glasses-wearing, mild-mannered version of him just resonated more with me. Sorry, not sorry.
Final Thoughts (Before You Roast Me)
Look, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan is a fun anime. It has cool monsters, epic battles, and a lot of heart.
I just think it could have been even better with a few tweaks. A little more focus, a little better pacing, a little less… power creep.
But hey, that's just my opinion. What do you think? Let me know (but please be nice!).
P.S. Tsurara Oikawa is best girl. Don't even try to argue.
