My Hero One's Justice 2 New Characters

Okay, let's talk My Hero One's Justice 2. Specifically, those new characters. Did they really need to add so many?
Don't get me wrong. More content is usually a good thing. But sometimes, it feels like quantity over quality, you know?
Some Additions Were Obvious... and Welcome!
Like, Gentle Criminal? Absolutely! The fight against him and La Brava was epic. It was perfect anime material.
Must Read
Having him be playable? No brainer. His elastic quirk is genuinely fun to mess around with, even for people that don't know the series well.
And Kendo Rappa is a solid choice. The guy punches really hard. Seems like a good fit for a fighting game, right?
But... Some Choices Are a Little... Questionable.
Now, here's where my "unpopular opinion" comes in. Minoru Mineta. Did anyone actually want to play as him?

I understand he's part of Class 1-A. But come on. His grapes are more annoying than strategic, at least to me!
Seriously, who's out there maining Mineta? Show yourselves! I'm genuinely curious.
Then there's Sir Nighteye. I get it, the Foresight Quirk is cool and all. But in a fast-paced fighting game?

I always feel like I'm playing a game of chess where everyone else is playing tag. Maybe that's the point, I guess.
Character Balance? We Don't Know Her!
And let's be honest. With so many characters, balancing becomes a nightmare. Some characters become too overpowered. Some are left behind.
It's the same problem with every fighting game, it is unavoidable.

Some older characters also feel a bit neglected. The newer ones tend to have flashier, more interesting movesets. Poor, poor Uraraka.
The Real Stars Are Still the OG's.
Look, I love the game. I really do. But sometimes, simplicity is better. Maybe a smaller, more refined roster would have been the way to go?
At the end of the day, it's All Might versus All For One where all of us are the heroes. That is how it will always be!

Because playing as Deku is still awesome. Unleashing One For All never gets old.
Maybe that's the real magic of My Hero One's Justice 2. It lets us live out our superhero fantasies.
Even if some of those fantasies involve...grapes.
