My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 5 English

Okay, let's talk about My Hero Academia Season 5, Episode 5. Specifically, the English dubbed version.
Remember That Episode?
You know, the one with all the training? Yeah, that one. It's... memorable. Mostly because you might have already forgotten it.
I'm going to say something potentially controversial: It wasn't amazing. I know, I know! Blasphemy!
Must Read
The Joint Training Arc: A Little...Slow?
Look, I love MHA. But the Joint Training arc had some pacing issues, right? This episode felt like it was building...and building...and building...but never quite popping.
Don't get me wrong, character development is great. We need to see our heroes grow. But sometimes, a little more boom and less classroom would be nice.
It's like when you're waiting for the microwave to finish your popcorn. You want the kernels to EXPLODE already!

English Dub Musings
The English dub cast is fantastic, though! They always deliver. Justin Briner as Deku? Perfection.
And Clifford Chapin as Bakugo? Angry and explosive, just as he should be. I wouldn't want it any other way!
Even if the episode was a little slow, the voice acting always keeps me engaged. They bring so much life to these characters.

Unpopular Opinion Incoming!
Here's where I might lose some of you. I think this episode could have benefitted from a little trimming. Maybe less focus on every single student's training progress.
Perhaps concentrate on the key players. Give us more Deku mastering Blackwhip. More Bakugo being... Bakugo.
You know, the stuff we all came to see. Give the people what they want!

It's Still MHA, Though!
Despite my...reservations... about this particular episode, I still love My Hero Academia. It's got heart, humor, and heroes galore!
Even the "slower" episodes contribute to the overall story. They build the foundation for future epic moments. And there are definitely epic moments to come.
Plus, any episode that gives us more of All Might is a win in my book. Let's be honest, we all miss him in his prime.

Looking Ahead
So, while Season 5 Episode 5 might not be my absolute favorite, I appreciate its role in the bigger picture. It's like the vegetables you have to eat before you get dessert.
And the desserts in My Hero Academia are delicious. So I'm willing to sit through a slightly less exciting episode or two.
Bring on the villains! Bring on the action! Bring on more Deku smashing things with One For All!
"Go beyond! Plus Ultra!"
Because even a "meh" episode of My Hero Academia is still better than most things on TV. Just saying. Am I right, or am I right?
