Okay, let's talk about My Hero Academia. Specifically, Season 5 Episode 24. You know, the one we've all (probably) seen dubbed.

I know, I know. Sub vs. Dub is the anime war to end all wars. But hear me out! I actually... gasp... kind of enjoyed the dub of that episode.

Season 5… wasn't my favorite season. It felt a little… uneven. You know? Like it was trying to juggle too many storylines at once.

And maybe, just maybe, the dub helped me appreciate Episode 24 a bit more.

I think the voice acting was pretty solid. I mean, Justin Briner as Deku always nails it. He brings the perfect amount of earnestness.

And let's be real, Clifford Chapin as Bakugo is just chef's kiss. The perfect amount of explosions in his voice!

The "Controversial" Point

Now, here's where I might lose some of you. I actually think the dub helped clarify some of the more… complex plot points.

Sometimes, when I'm trying to read subtitles and follow the action, my brain short circuits. The dub let me focus on the visuals.

And let's be honest, some of those fight scenes in My Hero Academia are epic. You don't want to miss a single punch!

Unpopular Opinion: Activated!

Maybe it's just me, but I found the dub pacing felt a little smoother in Episode 24. Like they had a better handle on the emotional beats.

I know, I know. The original Japanese is always the "purest" form. I get it!

But sometimes, after a long day, I just want to relax and watch heroes punch villains without having to concentrate too hard. Is that so wrong?
