My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 22 Dub

Okay, let's talk about My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 22 dub. It dropped, we watched, we reacted. And, well, I have thoughts. Maybe some slightly...controversial thoughts.
Ready for some potentially unpopular opinions? Buckle up, heroes. Here we go!
The Episode, Overall
Honestly? It wasn't the worst. I've seen worse. It had moments.
Must Read
The voice acting was, as always, pretty solid. The dub team consistently nails it. Shout out to the actors for bringing these characters to life!
But...but something felt off. It just didn't quite hit the mark for me.
The Problem Areas
The pacing felt rushed. Like they were trying to cram too much into one episode. Did anyone else feel that way?
Certain scenes lost their impact. I think maybe some of the emotional nuances were lost in translation. It's a tricky thing, dubbing!

And listen, I know the animation quality in Season 5 was... debated. Let's just say the dub couldn't magically fix that.
The Good Stuff (Because It's Not ALL Bad!)
Deku screaming? Always epic. Seriously, that voice actor gives it his all.
Seeing Shigaraki be menacing? Perfection. He’s just so good at being bad. I almost want him to win...almost.
And honestly, any scene with Aizawa is automatically a win. The man is a legend. I love him.

My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves)
Okay, here it is. Deep breath. I... I think this episode highlighted some inherent weaknesses in the arc itself.
The source material just wasn't as strong as previous seasons. So, the dub had an uphill battle from the start. Am I the only one who feels that way?
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it. It’s My Hero Academia! But it wasn't a standout episode, in my humble opinion.
The Dub Debate: Sub vs. Dub
Okay, I know this is a sensitive topic. The age-old question: sub or dub?

I usually lean towards the dub. I like being able to multitask while watching. Folding laundry and following along? Yes, please!
But sometimes, the original Japanese just hits differently. It's a matter of personal preference, really. Let's not start a war in the comments!
Final Thoughts
Overall, the My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 22 dub was...fine. Serviceable. Watchable.
It wasn't a masterpiece, but it wasn't a disaster. Just somewhere in the middle. A solid "meh," if you will.

I'm still excited for what's to come. Season 6 looks amazing! Let's hope the dub team can work their magic on that.
What did you think of the episode? Let me know in the comments! (But be nice!)
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch some All Might scenes. Because that always makes everything better.
Peace out, heroes! Stay Plus Ultra!
