My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 16 English Sub

Okay, real talk. We need to discuss My Hero Academia Season 5, Episode 16, English Sub. It’s been a hot minute, but the feelings are still…mixed. Did anyone else feel a little…underwhelmed?
The Joint Training Arc: A Bit of a Blur?
Remember the Joint Training Arc? It felt like it lasted FOREVER. It was basically Class 1-A vs. Class 1-B. Quirks galore, but maybe too many?
I know, I know. More My Hero Academia is good My Hero Academia. But sometimes, quantity over quality hits hard. Am I the only one who blinked and missed half the character development?
Must Read
Shinso's Glow-Up
Don’t get me wrong, some stuff was genuinely great! Shinso trying to join the hero course? Amazing! His brainwashing quirk is seriously underrated.
Watching him struggle and actually make progress? Chef's kiss. More Shinso, please! He deserves a redemption arc bigger than Bakugo's ego.
And speaking of Bakugo...

Bakugo: Still Bakugo, But...Better?
Bakugo actually working with a team? Progress! A slow, explosion-filled progress, but progress nonetheless. Even he learned a thing or two.
Though, let's be honest, he's still mostly just yelling. He's a walking, talking, yelling, grenade. But a slightly more strategic yelling grenade, maybe?
That's growth, right? Or maybe I’m just trying to be optimistic.

The Animation Hiccup
Okay, this is where I might lose some of you. But the animation in parts of Season 5? Let's just say it wasn't My Hero Academia's finest moment. There were a few scenes that made me wonder if my TV was having a stroke.
Look, animation is hard. And deadlines are brutal. But sometimes, a lower budget shows. Especially when you are comparing to earlier seasons.
Maybe I’m just being picky. But when you're used to seeing Deku smash with gorgeous detail, a slightly less polished punch can be jarring.
Where Was the Urgency?
The Joint Training Arc felt…isolated. Like a practice session with no real stakes. I like learning about the characters, but not when the story is sacrificed.

The looming threat of the League of Villains felt like a distant memory. Like, did they even exist this season? It’s like the writers forgot they were supposed to be the bad guys.
This made the season drag. Maybe it needed a bit more villainous spice to keep things exciting. A dash of danger, perhaps?
My (Possibly Unpopular) Opinion
So, here it is: I think My Hero Academia Season 5, particularly around episode 16, was…fine. Just fine. Not bad, not great, just…fine.

It’s like eating a plain piece of toast. Perfectly edible, but you're craving something with a little more flavor.
I still love My Hero Academia, don't get me wrong. But sometimes, even heroes have off days. And Season 5 just felt like one long off day.
But hey, every arc can't be a home run, right? Here's to hoping Season 6 brings back the epicness we all crave!
What do you think? Am I crazy? Or did anyone else feel like Season 5 was a bit of a slump? Let me know!
