My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 14 Dub

Okay, folks, let's talk My Hero Academia. Specifically, Season 5 Episode 14. And even MORE specifically, the DUB.
Yes, I said it. The dub. Some people love it, some people hate it. I’m… somewhere in the middle. But I definitely have some thoughts.
The Elephant in the Room: Shinso
Let's be real. We all waited forever for Shinso to show up again, right? Brainwashing power? Come on! That's cool.
Must Read
And then he’s… there. Part of 1-A. Training. It's good, but maybe not the electrifying return we dreamed of.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Shinso. But his dub voice… hmmm. Is it just me, or is it a little... bland? Like, he’s got the permanent sleep deprivation look down, but the voice doesn't quite match the edge I expected.
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Here's where I might lose some of you. I think his Japanese voice actor sells the tired, sarcastic thing just a smidge better.

Okay, okay, don't throw tomatoes! The English voice actor is perfectly fine. He's doing a good job. It's just... personal preference, you know?
Maybe I built Shinso up too much in my head. We’ve all been there. Like that time I thought instant ramen would be gourmet. Nope.
Class 1-A vs. 1-B: The Dub Showdown
This whole episode is basically a training exercise face-off. 1-A versus 1-B. It's a fun concept. Plenty of quirk action.

The dub actors really get a chance to shine here, especially with the 1-B students. Their quirks are... unique. Let's just say that.
Hearing the English voice actors trying to sell these bizarre powers? Hilarious. Like, trying to take a serious threat from someone who is copy and pasting? Chef's kiss.
Highlight Reel Moments
One thing I always appreciate about the MHA dub is the energy. The voice actors put their all into those fight scenes. All those "SMASH!" moments feel pretty raw and full of emotion.
I was really impressed with the delivery during Deku's Blackwhip moment. Spooky and powerful, even if the animation was... controversial at the time.

Plus, hearing all the familiar voices, like Bakugo yelling insults at everyone, is always a treat. It wouldn't be MHA without it.
Overall Thoughts (and a Confession)
Honestly, the Season 5 Episode 14 dub is solid. Not the best episode ever, but definitely enjoyable.
I might have some minor nitpicks about certain voice choices, but that's just me being overly critical. I can't help it.

Here's my confession: I sometimes watch the dub even if I've already seen the sub. It's like a comfort blanket. Familiar voices, familiar story.
Sometimes you just want to hear All Might say "I am here!" in English, you know? It hits different.
So, yeah. My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 14 dub. Not perfect, but definitely worth a watch. Especially if you like hearing people yell “Plus Ultra!” in English.
And who doesn’t?
