My Hero Academia Season 3 Episode 5 English Dub
Okay, heroes and villains! Let's talk about My Hero Academia. Specifically, Season 3 Episode 5. The English dub, of course.
Unpopular Opinion Incoming!
I have a confession. Are you ready for it? Brace yourselves, Deku fans.
This might be controversial, but... I kinda liked the training camp stuff? Before, you know, the whole villain invasion thing.
Must Read
Back to Basics, Baby!
Hear me out! It was nice seeing the Class 1-A kids actually training. Like, real training. Not just dodging robots.
Remember when they were all struggling with Aizawa's quirks? Hilarious! I definitely related to their exhaustion.
And the Pussycats? Don't even get me started. What a quirky bunch! Especially the little kid, Kota. Loved him.

The Calm Before the Storm
Okay, okay, I know what you're thinking. "But the villains attacked! People almost died!" True.
But that made the peaceful training moments even sweeter, right? A little contrast never hurt anyone.
Plus, it gave us a chance to see the characters' personalities shine. Before they were all busy fighting for their lives.
Dub Delight?
Now, the dub. Some people hate on dubs. I get it. But the English voice actors in MHA are pretty great, aren't they?

Deku's voice actor nails the earnest, nerdy vibe. And Bakugo's? Perfectly explosive! I mean, how can you not love it?
Even All Might's booming voice gives me chills. Especially when he yells "I AM HERE!"
The Kota Factor
Seriously, though, Kota was a highlight. His cynical attitude was hilarious. Especially considering he's, like, five years old.

His interactions with Deku were surprisingly touching. It's good to see Deku being a role model.
Don't tell anyone, but I teared up a little when Kota finally smiled.
Villainous Vibes Incoming
Of course, the episode isn't all sunshine and rainbows. The seeds of the villain attack are definitely being planted.
That creepy guy with the hands? Yeah, not a fan. Definitely gives me the creeps.

Still, the episode does a good job of building tension. You know something bad is coming, but you're not quite sure when.
So, There You Have It
Maybe I'm just a sucker for training montages. Or maybe I'm secretly a villain sympathizer (kidding!).
But I stand by my opinion. Season 3 Episode 5 of My Hero Academia is a solid episode. English dub included.
Don't @ me!
