Okay, okay, hear me out. We need to talk about Iron Blooded Orphans. Specifically, the season we never got: Season 3.

But...Wait, There IS No Season 3!

Alright, here's where I might lose some of you. Prepare for some potentially controversial takes. It's just fun to think about.

First, someone would’ve gotten a prosthetic limb upgrade. I mean, it’s Gundam. And several characters needed them.

Second, McGillis Fareed would have somehow been resurrected. Look, I know he sploded, but these things happen! Villains never truly die.

Think about it: robotic body, downloaded consciousness… anything is possible.

Third, we would see the kids getting older and having awkward teen moments.

We're talking about hormone-fueled piloting. Imagine Akihiro giving love advice? Hilarious!

More Mayhem and Mobile Suits

Speaking of suits, there would need to be EVEN MORE Gundams. With even MORE crazy weapons.

Maybe a Gundam that shoots…giant space donuts? Okay, maybe not. But something equally absurd!

And definitely more internal political squabbling. Because what's a Gundam series without backstabbing and power plays?

I bet Rustal Elion would be up to his usual sneaky tricks. That guy always had a scheme brewing.

Tekkadan probably would’ve gotten involved in ANOTHER war, even after everything they went through.

Because peace is boring, right? Especially when you have giant robots.

The Ending… (Maybe?)

Okay, this is the tough part. How would a theoretical Season 3 end?

Honestly? Probably tragically. IBO wasn’t exactly known for happy endings.

Someone important would almost certainly bite the dust. Maybe even multiple someones.

However! There's a tiny, optimistic part of me that hopes some of Tekkadan would find actual happiness. Settling down, planting space potatoes...the simple life.

But let's be real. Probably not.

Why I Kind Of Want a Season 3 (Even Though I Know I Shouldn't)

Here's the thing. I know Iron Blooded Orphans had its flaws. And the ending was…well, it was something.

But I loved those characters! I wanted to see what happened to them! Even if it meant more heartbreak.

Plus, more Gundam action is always a good thing. Right?

So, yeah. Season 3 of Iron Blooded Orphans: the sequel we never got. And maybe, deep down, the sequel we kind of wanted, even if we knew it would probably destroy us.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch Season 1 and pretend everything turned out okay.
