Max And Liz Roswell New Mexico Season 3

Okay, let's talk about Roswell, New Mexico. Specifically, Season 3. Prepare for some potentially controversial thoughts.
I'm just gonna say it: it wasn't my favorite. And I know, I know, people loved certain aspects.
The Alien Drama
First off, the whole Jones storyline? A bit much. I get it, aliens are dramatic.
Must Read
But Jones felt...forced. Like the writers were trying too hard to create a Big Bad.
The Romance Factor
Let’s be real, we're all here for the romance, right? And while Max and Liz are endgame, Season 3 tested my patience.
Their love story felt a little...stagnant? I wanted more sparks, less manufactured drama.
And don't even get me started on the will-they-won't-they with other characters. It felt like filler, honestly.

Side Characters Stealing the Show
Honestly, the side characters were the MVPs of Season 3. Maria DeLuca had some serious glow-up moments.
Her storyline with her mom? Heartbreaking and real. I was way more invested in that than some alien power struggle.
And Alex Manes? Don't even get me STARTED. His journey was compelling, heartbreaking, and beautifully acted.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Okay, here’s where things might get heated. I think Michael and Alex deserved more screentime. Much more.
Their relationship had so much potential, and it felt like it was constantly overshadowed. I needed more Malex, darn it!

And while we're at it, can we talk about Kyle? He’s always been the underrated gem of this show.
Season 3 finally gave him some meaty storylines, and I was here for it. More Kyle Valenti, please and thank you.
The Sci-Fi Stuff
Look, I appreciate the show's commitment to exploring complex themes. Alien identities, government conspiracies, the works.
But sometimes, it felt like the sci-fi stuff overshadowed the heart of the show: the relationships.

I wanted more small-town charm, more late-night diner scenes, and more meaningful conversations between friends.
Nitpicks and Niggles
Also, a minor gripe: the inconsistent power levels. One minute, an alien can move mountains.
The next, they're struggling to open a jar of pickles. Come on, guys, be consistent!
And the plot twists? Some were brilliant, others felt a bit...out there. Like they were pulling ideas from a hat.
The Verdict
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed Roswell, New Mexico Season 3. There were definitely moments that made me swoon, laugh, and cry.

But compared to the previous seasons, it felt a little disjointed. Like it was trying to do too much at once.
Maybe it's just me, but I wanted a stronger focus on the core relationships and less convoluted alien drama.
Ultimately, I'm still a fan of the show. I'm just hoping Season 4 brings back some of the magic from the earlier seasons.
What do you think? Am I completely off base? Let me know your own (potentially unpopular) opinions!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch some Malex scenes and pretend Season 3 didn't happen. Kidding! (Mostly.)
