Love Is War Season 3 Release Schedule

Okay, let's talk Love is War. More specifically, when the heck Season 3 actually came out!
Seriously, Where Was Season 3?
Remember the agonizing wait? It felt like an eternity. We all desperately needed that sweet, sweet dose of Kaguya and Miyuki's romantic battles.
I think I spent half of 2022 refreshing Crunchyroll. Don't judge me! Some people binge Netflix, I binge anime release dates.
Must Read
The Great Release Date Mystery
The whispers started. Rumors flew around like confetti at a New Year's party. Was it April? May? Was it all just a cruel joke?
Finally, the anime gods answered! Love is War -Ultra Romantic-, Season 3, premiered in Japan on April 8, 2022.
For those of us outside Japan? Well, we had to wait a little longer for the subs. But it was worth it! (Mostly.)

My (Slightly Unpopular) Opinion
Here's where I might ruffle some feathers. Season 3… wasn't quite as perfect as I'd hyped it up to be.
Don't get me wrong, it was still amazing! The animation was gorgeous. The jokes were on point. Chika's chaotic energy was still at peak levels.
But something felt... different. Was it the pressure of expectations? Did I just watch too much anime in the interim?

The Romance Factor
I think maybe I wanted more romance. Okay, sue me! I'm a sucker for the sappy stuff.
The mind games were still hilarious, of course. But I craved moments of genuine vulnerability, of true connection.
Maybe I'm just getting old. Or maybe I just wanted Kaguya and Miyuki to FINALLY just kiss already! (Spoiler alert: they did...eventually).

Rewatching is Key
Despite my minor gripes, I've rewatched Season 3 multiple times. It's still a masterpiece of romantic comedy.
Plus, there were so many incredible moments! Like, remember that episode with the fireworks? Chef's kiss.
And let's not forget the amazing soundtrack! Who hasn't added the opening theme to their workout playlist?

Looking to the Future
So, will there be a Season 4? That's the million-dollar question! And just like Season 3, we'll probably have to wait an agonizingly long time to find out.
But I'm here for it! Bring on the mind games! Bring on the awkward confessions! Bring on more Chika dance sequences!
Until then, I'll just be rewatching Season 1, 2, and 3...for the tenth time. No shame!
Love is war, indeed! And the battle for more seasons continues!
