Love Is In The Air Turkish Series 2020

Okay, let's be honest. We all got sucked into Love Is In The Air, right? That Turkish series from 2020 had us hooked.
It was like a fluffy, romantic escape. A beautiful escape from reality. From our everyday, sometimes boring, lives.
The Premise (We All Know It, But...)
So, Eda, our feisty flower girl, gets chained to Serkan, the ridiculously handsome architect.
Must Read
It's all fake at first, a deal. Then, you know, love happens. Predictable? Maybe. Addictive? Absolutely!
My "Unpopular" Opinion
Here's where things get spicy. I think Eda could have done better than Serkan. Don't @ me!
Sure, he's rich and gorgeous. And, okay, his character does develop over time.

But initially, he's kind of a jerk, right? Robot-like. Always working.
"Work hard, play hard" is his motto, but it feels like it is only work.
Eda deserves someone who appreciates her sunshine from the beginning. Someone who can match her energy.
The Supporting Characters Were the Real MVPs
Let's be real. Ayfer, Melo, and Ceren carried that show sometimes. They were always there to save the day!
Their friendships were so heartwarming. They were the best part, and sometimes I only tuned in for their scenes.

They added so much humor. I felt the show needed more of them.
That On-Again, Off-Again Drama...
The breakups! The makeups! The misunderstandings! It was a rollercoaster.
At a certain point, I wondered, "Are they trying to be miserable?" Get therapy, you two!

It felt like the writers were deliberately throwing wrenches into their happiness. The drama was a bit much sometimes.
Still... I Get It
Despite everything, Love Is In The Air got something right. I think it was the fairy-tale aspect.
It gave us hope. Hope for finding love, even in the most unlikely of places.
And who doesn't love a good happy ending? Even if we saw it coming a mile away.

Final Thoughts (And a Little Confession)
I still re-watch clips on YouTube. I can't deny it. The beautiful scenery, the clothes, everything is gorgeous!
The actors did a great job. Whether or not I "ship" Eda and Serkan, Hande Erçel and Kerem Bürsin had amazing chemistry.
So, yeah, I have some "unpopular" opinions. But I still fell for the charm of Love Is In The Air.
It was the perfect escape we all needed in 2020. A little bit of sunshine, a little bit of drama, and a whole lot of romance.
