The Kids Are Alright? (Maybe?)

Look, I get it. The whole "children of the Elder Tales world" needing guidance thing was a plot point. They needed Shiroe, our favorite schemer, to fix everything.

But honestly, did anyone else feel like they were watching a very long, slightly preachy, after-school special at times? Seriously, the pacing felt off.

And don't even get me started on some of the new characters. Were we really supposed to care THAT much about every single kid and their individual struggles? It felt like overload.

Shiroe, bless his heart, is always plotting. He’s got plans within plans within plans. It's his charm!

But in this arc, his schemes felt… less impactful? It’s like he was trying to herd cats while simultaneously defusing a bomb and writing a thesis paper.

Maybe that's the point. But, for me, the bomb defusing usually trumps the thesis paper in terms of excitement. Where was the cool action we all loved?

The Round Table itself... well, it was a mess. All those egos and conflicting interests finally boiled over. Predictable, sure, but also kind of a downer.

I mean, weren't these supposed to be the adults in the room? Leading the charge? It felt like watching a dysfunctional family argue over the thermostat.

Don’t get me wrong, Log Horizon is still great. But Destruction of the Round Table? It felt like a detour on an otherwise amazing adventure. A detour with lots of kids and complicated political talk.
