Lego Dc Super Heroes Batman Be Leaguered

Okay, let's talk about something that's been bugging me. I might get some side-eye for this, but I gotta say it. We're diving deep into the plastic brick world of Lego DC Super Heroes: Batman Be-Leaguered.
A Lego Movie with Less Brick Flair?
Don't get me wrong, I love Lego movies. Who doesn't enjoy colorful, witty, brick-built adventures? But sometimes, I feel like Batman Be-Leaguered is a little...underwhelming.
I know, I know. It has all the big names. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman. The whole Justice League gang is here! But something just doesn't quite click, for me anyway.
Must Read
The Villain Problem
First, let's talk villains. The Legion of Doom sounds scary, right? But in this special, they feel kind of...lame. They are not even the best villains in the DC universe.
Like, are we seriously supposed to be scared of Captain Cold's ice gun when everything is made of plastic? Plus, Lex Luthor seems unusually incompetent. I expect more from a criminal mastermind!
It is funny, sure. But funny enough to forgive their complete lack of menace? I'm not so sure.

Batman's...Issues
And what's up with Batman in this one? He's always been a bit of a loner. But in Batman Be-Leaguered, he's just plain grumpy and selfish!
He doesn't want to share his cool gadgets. He refuses to work as a team. It's like he's trying to win a "Most Annoying Superhero" award or something. I get that he's a complex character, but in the movie, he's less complex and more just, ugh.
I miss the Batman that wants to save the world. Not the Batman that wants to hog all the credit. Is that just me?

Too Much Sibling Rivalry?
The whole plot revolves around Batman needing to learn the importance of teamwork. It is a pretty common theme in superhero stories. But here, it's beaten over our heads with a plastic batarang!
The Justice League is basically a bunch of squabbling siblings. It feels like watching a family argument at Thanksgiving dinner, only with superpowers and more explosions. And in Lego form!
Maybe I'm just cynical, but I prefer my superhero teams to have a little more...cohesion. Or at least pretend to like each other for five minutes.

Where's the Lego Charm?
Okay, okay, I'm being harsh. There are definitely some funny moments in Batman Be-Leaguered. The Lego animation is always impressive.
But compared to other Lego movies, it just feels a bit...flat. It doesn't have the same spark. It lacks the cleverness and heart that makes Lego films so special.
Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe I'm just a grumpy Batman fan myself. Either way, I can't help but feel that this Lego adventure could have been so much more.

It's still a fun way to spend an hour, don't get me wrong. But, if I had to pick my favorite Lego DC adventure, Batman Be-Leaguered wouldn't be the first.
What do you think? Am I being too critical? Or do you secretly agree that this particular Lego adventure is a little...brick-and-mortar?
I'm ready for your counterarguments! But, be warned, I have a plastic utility belt full of sarcasm and unpopular opinions!
Maybe I should just stick to playing the Lego Batman video games. At least there, Batman is a little less annoying!
