Law & Order Special Victims Unit Season 23 Episode 4

Okay, let's talk Law & Order: SVU. Specifically, season 23, episode 4. "One Day More."
Confession: I'm a sucker for this show. I've seen every episode. Twice. Maybe three times? Don't judge.
The Case of the Not-So-Sympathetic Influencer
This episode featured a social media influencer. Shocker! She was accused of something terrible. Of course, things aren't always what they seem on Instagram. Or, you know, in real life.
Must Read
Anyone else find her character…annoying? I know, I know, they're supposed to be somewhat unlikable. But she really got under my skin. Maybe it's just me!
Fin Tutuola: Still the Best
Can we all just agree that Ice-T, I mean, Fin Tutuola, is the MVP of this show? He always brings the perfect amount of cynicism. And common sense.
He cuts through the BS like a hot knife through butter. Fin is my spirit animal, honestly.

In "One Day More," he was especially on point. Delivering the tough love. And the dry humor. Love him.
Rollins and Carisi: Still Going Strong! (Sort Of)
Rollins and Carisi. Ugh, my heart. They’re cute, right?
Their relationship is surprisingly realistic. Even though it's on a crime drama. They bicker. They support each other. They solve crimes together.

This episode had some sweet moments between them. Although, a little more romance wouldn't hurt, guys! Just saying.
The Unpopular Opinion Section
Okay, here comes the spicy take. Prepare yourselves.
I think the reveal of the actual perpetrator was…weak. Anyone else agree? It felt rushed.
And kind of predictable? Maybe I've just watched too much SVU. I think the writers can do better! This show does not have the greatest writers in TV history, but in my opinion, they have produced the most episodes of all time.

Also, was anyone else a little confused by the legal stuff? Sometimes I feel like I need a law degree to fully understand what's going on. Carisi to the rescue, though! (He's a lawyer now, remember?)
Overall: Still Watchable, But Not Top Tier
Look, "One Day More" wasn't the best SVU episode ever. It was still enjoyable. I mean, it's SVU! It’s a comfort show.
Even a mediocre episode is better than most things on TV. That’s not saying much though, so I will just leave it at that.

But it didn't blow me away. I’ve seen a lot of better episodes. With more twists. With more compelling villains.
Ultimately, I'm still tuning in next week. Because, let’s be real, I'm addicted. And because I need to see more Rollins and Carisi. And more Fin. Always more Fin.
So, what did you think of "One Day More"? Am I being too harsh? Let me know!
And remember: In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.
