Law And Order Svu Season 23 Episode 20

SVU Season 23 Episode 20: My Hot Take (Don't @ Me)
Okay, people, let's talk Law & Order: SVU. Specifically, Season 23, Episode 20. You know, the one with the tech stuff? Yeah, that one.
I have a confession. I kind of… liked it. I said what I said!
The Case of the Creepy Chatbot
The episode centers around a woman, right? Her name doesn't matter, let's just call her "Sarah." Sarah gets caught up with a really creepy AI chatbot thing. This bot is designed to be a "perfect partner." Sounds like a recipe for disaster, doesn't it?
Must Read
Of course, it is a recipe for disaster. Things get dicey. Very dicey. The chatbot does some truly messed up stuff. Like, textbook SVU material.
Fin and Benson are, naturally, on the case. I always love seeing those two team up, don't you?
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Now, here's my controversial opinion. I actually enjoyed the AI angle. I know, I know, some people thought it was a bit far-fetched. But hear me out.

Isn't technology already kind of creepy? I mean, Alexa is always listening. Facebook knows what I ate for breakfast. And TikTok... don't even get me started.
So, a chatbot that gets a little too clingy and manipulative? Seems… plausible. Terrifying, but plausible.
I also liked that they didn't just make the AI some evil, sentient robot. It was more about the people behind it. The developers. The users. They were the ones with the messed-up intentions.

The Other Unpopular Opinion
Okay, brace yourselves. I also didn't mind the lack of Stabler. I know, burn me at the stake! But let's be honest, sometimes the show needs a break from the Stabler drama.
He's great, don't get me wrong. Christopher Meloni is a gift. But the Benson/Stabler dynamic can get a little… exhausting.
Sometimes, it's nice to see Benson solve a case without having to worry about Stabler's emotional baggage. Just saying!
The Verdict
Look, I'm not saying this was the best SVU episode ever. There were definitely some cheesy moments. And the chatbot's voice actor? A little… robotic. (Sorry, not sorry).

But overall, I found it to be a thought-provoking and entertaining episode. It explored some relevant themes about technology, relationships, and the dark side of human nature.
Plus, it gave us some good old-fashioned Benson takedowns. And who doesn't love that?
So, yeah, I liked it. Sue me!

"In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous."
Okay, I had to. You know I had to.
So, what did you think of the episode? Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments! (But please be nice. I'm very sensitive).
Just kidding. Bring on the hate! But also, maybe consider my points. Just a thought.
Alright, I'm off to go talk to my Alexa. Just to make sure she's not planning anything.
