Law And Order Svu Season 22 Episode 14

Okay, let's talk about "Law & Order: SVU." Specifically, Season 22, Episode 14. Remember that one? The episode is titled "Post-Graduate Blues."
I have thoughts. Probably controversial ones. So buckle up.
The Case That Made Me Go "Hmm..."
This episode revolves around a professor accused of, shall we say, inappropriate behavior with his students. Shocker, right? It's SVU, after all. We're used to it.
Must Read
But something about this one felt… different. Maybe it was the professor, maybe it was the students. Either way, it had me scratching my head.
It’s probably my unpopular opinion, but here it is. This case just felt… meh.
Benson, My Queen, But...
Look, I adore Olivia Benson. She's basically everyone's surrogate TV mom. But even the great Mariska Hargitay can't save every episode, am I right?

Her empathy is usually on point. Here, she seemed a little...off. Maybe she's tired. Twenty-two seasons is a long time to be dealing with the worst of humanity!
Maybe Benson needs a vacation. Somewhere with a beach and absolutely no crime scene tape.
Carisi Being Carisi
Thank goodness for Carisi. He brings a bit of sunshine to the darkness. His heart is always in the right place, even if his methods are… questionable sometimes.

Carisi is the loyal friend, that little piece of humanity we all need. He is the guy who reminds the viewers that even with all the terrible things that are going on, that there are good people around.
In this episode, he was his usual earnest self. Trying to do the right thing. Bless his heart.
The "Unpopular Opinion" Part
Okay, here it is. My truly unpopular opinion. This episode felt…predictable.
I know, I know. SVU has been on for ages. It's hard to keep things fresh. But this one just ticked all the usual boxes. Predatory professor? Check. Vulnerable students? Check. Moral ambiguity? Double-check.

Maybe the writers should try something wild. Like, an episode where everyone involved is completely innocent. Just a paperwork mix-up. A clerical error gone horribly wrong!
The Verdict?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad episode. It's just not a great episode. It's…forgettable.
There were some strong performances, as always. And it’s another chapter in the Benson story we have been following for many years.

I still love SVU. Even the mediocre episodes are better than most things on TV. I’m still going to be watching till the bitter end.
So, what did you think? Am I completely off base? Or did this episode leave you feeling a little "meh" too?
Let me know in the comments! And please, be gentle. I'm just a humble SVU fan with a slightly controversial opinion.
Law & Order: SVU is always there, like a reliable friend. Even when it serves us a plate of lukewarm pasta.
