Law And Order Los Angeles Episode 1 Cast

Law And Order Los Angeles Episode 1 Cast

Remember Law & Order: Los Angeles? Yeah, me neither, really. But let’s talk about that first episode's cast anyway!

Forgotten Faces and Familiar Vibes

Okay, first off, Skeet Ulrich. He played Detective Rex Winters. Anyone else think he was trying a little too hard to be cool?

I mean, I love Scream as much as the next person, but Winters felt…forced. Maybe that's just me. Unpopular opinion alert!

Enter Corey Stoll (Before He Was Famous...ish)

Then there's Corey Stoll. He played Detective TJ Jaruszalski. Remember him?

Before House of Cards and Marvel fame, he was trying to solve crimes in sunny LA. He actually did a decent job!

He brought a grounded feel to the show. He balanced out Ulrich’s brooding, I think.

The Legal Eagles (or Not-So-Much)

Now, let’s move on to the lawyers. Alfred Molina was D.A. Ricardo Morales. He was probably the best thing about the whole show.

Molina is always great, isn't he? Even when he's stuck in a show that barely lasted a season.

And, Terrence Howard as Deputy D.A. Joe Dekker. I liked him, I really did.

But I always felt like he was holding back. Maybe he knew the show's fate already?

Guest Stars Galore (and Why They Mattered)

The pilot episode, “Hollywood,” had some interesting guest stars too. Let’s be honest, that’s where a lot of the fun comes from.

There was a focus on the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Of course, that meant murder!

Chad Michael Murray played a spoiled actor. I bet that was a stretch!

He brought the right amount of smarmy charm. Exactly what the role needed, really.

Monet Mazur was also there. She played one of the suspects.

She's a solid character actress. She elevated the episode for sure.

My Unpopular Opinion: The Cast Deserved Better

Honestly, the cast was pretty good! They had potential.

I think the show itself just didn't click. Maybe it was the writing? Maybe the location? Who knows!

But Alfred Molina and Corey Stoll? Those guys are pros. They deserved a better show to sink their teeth into.

Ultimately, Law & Order: Los Angeles is a blip in the franchise's history. It's a forgotten experiment.

But at least we can remember some good actors slumming it for a bit. Makes for some good trivia, right?

So, there you have it. My slightly snarky take on the Law & Order: Los Angeles pilot cast. Anyone agree? Or am I totally off-base?

Don't @ me if you loved it. Everyone's entitled to their (wrong) opinions!
