Kylie Minogue Made In Heaven Box Set 2017

Okay, let's talk Kylie. We all love her, right? Pop princess, Aussie icon, spinner of gold. But….
The Made in Heaven Box Set: A Little Controversial?
Remember that Made In Heaven box set from 2017? It was a celebration of her PWL (Pete Waterman Limited) era. Cue the confetti!
Don't get me wrong, it's got its charms. So much 80s cheese it's practically a fondue set. The question is, was it necessary?
Must Read
All Those Remixes...Really?
Seriously, did we really need another version of "I Should Be So Lucky?" I mean, I love it, I really do. But my ears were already well-versed in the original.
And the extended mixes! Some stretched longer than my attention span. Sorry, Kylie, but I zoned out a little during the five-minute instrumental break.
It's like they took a perfectly good song and just… added more stuff. More synths! More drum machines! Sometimes, less is more, you know?

The Packaging: More is More?
The packaging was…substantial. A Big Box. Full of Kylie goodness! But was it practical?
Storing the thing was a challenge. I had to rearrange my entire record collection. My ABBA vinyl gave me the side-eye.
I am all for aesthetically pleasing products. But when I need a forklift to move it, something went awry.
The Price Tag: Ouch!
Let's not forget the price. That thing cost a small fortune! My bank account wept.

I justified it to myself as an "investment in happiness." But my partner was less convinced. Ramen noodles for a month, anyone?
Worth it? Maybe. Probably not. Okay, definitely not. But hey, it's Kylie!
Unpopular Opinion Incoming!
Okay, here it comes. Brace yourselves. I think… the Made in Heaven box set is a bit… overrated.

There! I said it. Feel free to throw tomatoes. I'm ready.
It’s not bad. But not as perfect as some die-hard fans scream to the heavens. It’s good, but not “sell your kidney” good.
The Good Stuff (Because There Is Good Stuff!)
To be fair, it did have some gems. The bonus tracks were a treat. A little unearthed treasure!
And the nostalgia factor was off the charts. It transported me back to the 80s. Leg warmers and all!

Plus, any excuse to celebrate Kylie Minogue is a good one, right? Absolutely!
Final Verdict: A Bit Much, But Still Kylie
So, the Made in Heaven box set: a bit excessive, a bit pricey, a bit… much. But still Kylie. And that counts for something.
Would I buy it again? Probably not. But I don't regret owning it. Mostly.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go listen to "The Loco-Motion" for the thousandth time. No regrets.
