Okay, let's talk about something slightly controversial. The Komi Can't Communicate English dub, Season 2.

Specifically, my… let’s call it a complex relationship with it.

We all waited ages for it, right? Season 1 was dubbed, and it was pretty good. Expectations for Season 2 were sky-high.

Everyone anticipated the arrival of more Komi! More Tadano being a sweetie pie. More chaotic classmates doing chaotic things.

But then… it landed. And I had THOUGHTS.

Brace yourselves. I… didn’t love it. Okay, maybe that's a bit harsh. But something felt… off.

The Voices: Hit or Miss?

Don't get me wrong, some of the voice acting was superb. Specifically, Komi's inner monologues? Chef's kiss.

However, some of the voices just didn't quite click. They were... jarring.

Maybe it's because I watched the subbed version first. That happens, right?

The Humor: Lost in Translation?

A lot of Komi Can't Communicate's charm is in the subtle nuances. The awkward silences. The very Japanese humor.

Did some of that get… diluted in the dub? Perhaps.

Why? Because it's Komi! Any Komi is better than no Komi.
