Kobayashi-san Chi No Maid Dragon: Lucoa Is My Xx

Okay, let's just say it. I have a confession to make. It's a Kobayashi-san Chi No Maid Dragon confession. It's about my favourite character.
Everyone loves Tohru, right? She's adorable. Super powerful. And her undying love for Kobayashi is heartwarming. But I'm here to advocate for someone else.
Lucoa: The Underrated Queen
Hear me out. Lucoa. She’s not just eye candy. She’s also secretly the best character. Yes, I know what you're thinking.
Must Read
“But she’s so… ahem... boisterous!” And yes, her design is definitely... pronounced. But look past the obvious!
She's wise. Ancient. And probably seen more than all of us combined. Lucoa's got some serious experience points.
She’s Got The Best Moments
Tohru's clumsiness is cute. But Lucoa's mischievousness? Hilarious. Remember when she was 'summoned' incorrectly?

Pure gold. Her interactions with Shouta are comedic genius. The perfect blend of teasing and genuine care. I laugh every time.
She offers a different kind of humor. A more subtle, knowing kind. She doesn't need to knock things over to be funny.
Lucoa Understands Perspective
Tohru is fiercely devoted to Kobayashi. And that's lovely! But sometimes, it feels a little... intense. Lucoa offers a calmer vibe.
She's seen empires rise and fall. She’s not getting stressed about everyday human problems. She has a better understanding of the bigger picture.

That worldly experience shows. She offers advice and insights that the others simply can’t. Wisdom beyond measure!
She's Genuinely Caring
Beneath the goddess-like exterior, lies a warm heart. She really does care for Shouta. In her own, slightly eccentric way.
She wants him to be happy and secure. She tries to teach him about the world. Even if her methods are a little... unconventional.

It's a unique bond. And honestly, it's one of the most heartwarming aspects of the show. I like their unique interactions.
Is Lucoa My... Favourite?
So, is Lucoa my favourite? Maybe. Okay, probably. Definitely.
She's funny. She's wise. She's got a unique design. And she brings something special to the show that no one else can.
I rest my case. Now, please direct all hate mail to the nearest trash receptacle. Because my opinion is valid! Sort of...

But seriously, give Lucoa another look. You might be surprised at what you find. You might even agree with me!
She’s more than just fanservice. She’s a complex and hilarious character. She has earned the number one spot in my heart.
Don't judge a book by its cover. Or a dragon goddess by her... assets. Lucoa is truly special.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Now, back to rewatching Kobayashi-san Chi No Maid Dragon. For research purposes, of course.
