Knights Of The Round Table Seven Deadly Sins

Knights, Sins, and Slightly Silly Opinions
Okay, let's be honest. King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table were awesome. But were they perfect? Nope!
They were human. And that means they probably struggled with the Seven Deadly Sins. It’s way more fun to think about it this way!
Lancelot: Lust (and Maybe a Bit of Envy)
Let's start with the obvious. Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere? Lust was practically their theme song. It’s hard to blame him, though.
Must Read
Okay, maybe it’s not hard to blame him. But forbidden love is, like, classic knightly drama. Plus, did he also envy Arthur’s crown...and queen?
Galahad: Pride (Hear Me Out!)
Galahad is the pure one, right? The holiest of holy knights? Exactly, a bit too good.
Isn't that a little... prideful? Like, "I'm so virtuous, I'm practically glowing." Nobody likes a show-off.

Mordred: Wrath (Duh!)
Mordred. The villain! Wrath? Absolutely.
He basically destroyed Camelot out of spite. Extreme anger management issues? You bet.
Sir Kay: Sloth (The Unsung Sinner)
Okay, hear me out on this one. Sir Kay was always hanging around. He was Arthur’s foster brother.

Did he really do that much actual questing? Or was he mostly just lounging about, cracking sarcastic jokes? I'm saying it's sloth-adjacent.
Sir Gawain: Gluttony (Of Glory!)
Sir Gawaine was a brave knight. And he loved fame, some might say a little too much.
He had a hunger for glory, a gluttony for recognition! Like a kid after trick or treat.

Tristan: Greed (For…Iseult?)
Wasn't Sir Tristan's whole deal about wanting someone he couldn't have? That's a type of greed.
It's not about gold, but greed for a relationship. Still counts!
Percival: Envy (Of...Everyone?)
Sir Percival started out as a simpleton. All other knights had honor and glory.

He was surrounded by legendary figures. You’d think he’d feel at least a tiny pang of envy! Just a tiny one.
A Little Sin Makes the Story Interesting
Look, I'm not saying the Knights of the Round Table were terrible people. But their flaws are what make them interesting.
Imagine a perfectly sin-free Camelot. Snooze-fest! A bit of lust, wrath, and envy? Now that’s a story worth telling.
So, next time you read about Arthur and his knights, remember. Even heroes can be a little bit naughty. And that's okay!
