Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 2 Episode 4

Okay, let's talk Demon Slayer. Specifically, season 2 episode 4, shall we? I know, I know, we're a bit behind, but hear me out.
I might have an unpopular opinion about this one.
My Hot Take on Episode 4
Everyone seems obsessed with the fight scenes. And rightly so! They were visually stunning. The animation was on point.
Must Read
But, dare I say, the plot felt a little… stretched? Like they were padding for time. Maybe that's just me.
Enter: Tengen Uzui's Wives
Okay, let's be real. Tengen Uzui is a flashy guy. We get it! Three wives? Talk about busy!
Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma. Quite the trio. They're supposed to be undercover, right? Sometimes I wonder if they were really doing a good job at that.

Suma, in particular. Girl, tone it down! Her constant panicking added humor. But it also made me think, "How is she a ninja?!"
The Sound Hashira's "Subtlety"
Speaking of subtlety, let's talk about Tengen Uzui himself. "Flashy" is an understatement. The man is a walking disco ball.
He's supposed to be investigating a demon. But he's yelling orders and being generally extra. Stealth? What's that?
I love him, don't get me wrong. But sometimes, I facepalm.

Tanjiro's Inner Monologue
Oh, Tanjiro. Our earnest, hard-working hero. He’s always thinking. Always analyzing.
His inner monologue is basically the soundtrack to my life when I'm trying to figure out what to order for dinner. "Should I get the sushi? Or the ramen?" High stakes stuff.
Sometimes I wish he'd just act. But I guess that's what makes him... Tanjiro.

The "Drama" of the Missing Wives
The episode focuses on the disappearance of Tengen's wives. It sets the stage for a deeper dive into the Entertainment District arc.
I’m invested, sure. I want to know what happened to them. But the pacing felt a tad slow in this episode. Just a tad.
Maybe I just have a short attention span. Give me demons fighting, stat!
Is it Just Me?
So, maybe I'm being too critical. Maybe I'm just impatient. But I felt like episode 4 was more of a setup than a payoff.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't my favorite. Bring on the demon battles!
Anyone else feel this way? Or am I alone in this Demon Slayer desert?
Let me know in the comments! (If there were any comments, that is.)
"This episode was okay, but I'm ready for more action!" - My Slightly Unpopular Opinion
Alright, that's my two cents. Let the hate comments commence! (Just kidding... mostly.)
