Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 14 Episode 1

Okay, let's talk It's Always Sunny. Season 14, episode 1. “The Gang Gets Romantic."
Remember that one? Probably not. I feel like everyone forgets it exists.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here it comes. Ready? I... kinda liked it! I know, I know.
Must Read
Hear me out before you throw rotten tomatoes! I think it was funny and kind of creative. It has some funny, quotable lines.
The Setup
The episode centers on the gang's, shall we say, "unique" perspectives on romance. Especially when compared to normal people.
Dee wants to find love with a vet, Charlie's trying to woo The Waitress, and Mac... well, Mac's just Mac. He wants to find love too.
Dennis and Frank scheme, naturally, for their own twisted reasons. It is It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia after all.
Charlie's Valentine's Day Quest
Charlie's elaborate scheme to impress The Waitress is gold. He tries to give her a romantic gesture but is a little off.

Stalking is not romantic! Let's be clear.
But Charlie's oblivious dedication to being the perfect "romantic" is hilarious. He is being perfectly himself.
Mac's Inner Struggle
Mac's journey in the episode is also great. He wants love and attention.
He is trying to fill a void in his life and in the process it is entertaining.
It leads to some incredibly awkward, yet laugh-out-loud funny, moments. That's why we love him. Right?

Dennis and Frank's… Thing
Let's be honest. Dennis and Frank's plot is probably the weirdest. They are usually the weirdest in the gang.
Their attempt to manipulate the situation is classic. It is something we can all expect from them.
It's so absurd it's almost brilliant. In a messed up, Always Sunny kind of way. But it always works.
Why I Think It's Underrated
Maybe it's not the best episode. I admit that. But it's still solid It's Always Sunny.
The characters all act as we'd expect them to. In a fun, new situation.

The humor is classic and it explores the gang's warped view on romance. This episode is really enjoyable and you should consider rewatching it.
The jokes land, the performances are great, and it's a good showcase for each character.
It's a reminder of why we love these horrible people. Maybe it's the horrible people we see inside ourselves.
It is a good example of how twisted and hilarious it can be. Even after 14 seasons.
Final Thoughts
So, yeah, I liked "The Gang Gets Romantic." Sue me!

Maybe it’s not a top-tier episode. But it's definitely not the worst.
It has rewatch value and still makes me laugh. It’s definitely an underrated gem. Give it another shot!
What do you think? Am I crazy, or does this episode deserve more love?
Sound off in the comments (if there were comments on this imaginary article)! Let's have a debate! A civilized one, please. Think of the implication!
Just don't tell Frank Reynolds I said anything nice about romance. He would probably try to sell me Fight Milk. And maybe not because he loves selling it!
