Is Yona Of The Dawn Manga Finished 2020

So, Yona of the Dawn. A truly epic tale, right? Dragons, kingdoms, a kick-butt princess… what’s not to love?
But let’s be real. Is it… over yet? I mean, it feels like it’s been going on since the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Is Yona Ever Going to Reach Dawn, or Are We Just Stuck in Twilight Forever?
Okay, okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic. But seriously! 2020 came and went. No ending in sight.
Must Read
I know, I know, good things take time. But my patience is wearing thinner than Hak’s armor after a battle against an entire army.
And that’s saying something.
The Dreaded Hiatus: Has it Reached the end?
We've all been there, haven't we? You find a manga, a series that just clicks. You feel that you should root for Yona.
Then BAM! Hiatus. It's the manga equivalent of being ghosted. Your heart breaks a little bit.

And you are left wondering: Will they ever come back? In the case of Yona, it is a resounding yes!
My Unpopular Opinion: It Needs to Wrap Up Soon
Brace yourselves, because I’m about to say something controversial. I think Yona of the Dawn needs to end…relatively soon.
Don’t get me wrong, I adore Kusanagi-sensei's work. The art is stunning. The characters are so relatable.
But the plot is starting to feel like it’s wandering in circles. Remember when Yona was a naive princess?

Too Many Villains, Too Little Resolution?
It's like every few chapters, a new villain pops up. They cause chaos and drama. The hero and her friends beat them.
Then we rinse and repeat. Where are we even going with this?
I'm starting to feel like I need a map and a compass to even remember what the original goal was.
But I Still Love It! (Kind Of)
Despite my ranting, I'm still invested in Yona's story. I need to know if Hak and Yona ever get together.

I'm holding out hope that the ending will be satisfying, impactful, and worth the wait.
I will also be glad when she sits on the throne she deserves.
So, What’s the Verdict?
Is Yona of the Dawn finished as of 2020? Nope. And as of now? Not yet!
Is it going to end eventually? I hope so. I'm willing to wait a little longer, but my patience isn't infinite.

After all, every journey has to end somewhere, right? Even if it takes a dragon-sized amount of time to get there.
Maybe the real treasure was the friends we made along the way.
...Or maybe the real treasure is a satisfying conclusion to a fantastic story.
Here's hoping that we get the chance to celebrate the finale of the Yona of the Dawn soon.
