Is This The Last Season Of Fear The Walking Dead

Okay, let's talk about something. Something that's been nagging at me like a walker with a particularly bad head cold: Fear the Walking Dead. Is this... is this finally it?
I know, I know. Some of you are still holding out hope. You’re invested. You love Morgan and the gang.
The Undead Series, Undead Plotlines?
But let's be real. Hasn't this show gone on longer than a teenager's bad mood? I mean, we've seen more resurrections and re-imaginings than a comic book character.
Must Read
Remember when it was actually...scary? Before the endless speeches about hope? Back when Madison Clark was running the show?
Yeah, me too. Distant memories.
Is it Time to Say Goodbye?
Look, I'm not saying it's been all bad. There have been moments. Brief flashes of brilliance. But mostly…mostly it's felt like treading water.

Water filled with zombies, sure. But still…treading.
And let's be honest, the plotlines have gotten a little...out there. Remember the hot air balloon season? Or the CRM detour? The one with the doomsday cult?
I needed a flow chart to keep track of who was doing what and why. My brain hurt.

An Unpopular Opinion?
Here’s where my opinion might get me some hate mail. I think Fear the Walking Dead should end. Like, now. This season. Roll credits. The end.
I know, I know! You're yelling at your screen. "But what about the characters? What about their stories?"
My response? Some stories have to end. For the sake of everyone involved. Especially the viewers.
Let the Dead Rest (Finally!)
Think about it. Wouldn't it be better to end on a (relatively) high note? Before the show completely jumps the shark (again)?

Before we see another character conveniently survive a nuclear blast by hiding in a conveniently placed refrigerator?
Before the writing gets even more convoluted? Let's just wrap it up. Give us some closure. And let Fear the Walking Dead finally rest in peace.
Maybe then the actors and crew can move on to other projects. And maybe, just maybe, we can all finally remember the good old days of Season 1.

Is that too much to ask? I think not.
So, is this the last season? I'm hoping and praying it is. My finger are crossed. Let the record show I said it first!
What do you think? Am I crazy? Or are you secretly hoping for the same thing?
Let's discuss!
