Is The Hunter X Hunter Manga Still Going

Let's talk about something near and dear to many anime/manga fans' hearts. Or maybe a source of constant, simmering frustration. Yep, we're diving into the world of Hunter x Hunter.
Specifically, that ever-present question: Is it actually still going?
The Hiatus Heard 'Round the World
Okay, so "hiatus" is probably the understatement of the century. We're talking about a break so long, some of us have learned new languages, started families, and watched our own hair turn gray waiting for the next chapter.
Must Read
And yet, hope springs eternal! Why? Because Yoshihiro Togashi is a legend, that's why. He made Yu Yu Hakusho. We owe him our loyalty! Or, you know, maybe just the benefit of the doubt.
But Seriously, Though...
Let's be real. The manga's release schedule is… unpredictable. Like a weather forecast made by a fortune teller using tea leaves.
We get a burst of chapters, the fandom erupts in joy, theories abound. Then... silence. Crickets. The digital equivalent of tumbleweeds rolling across the internet.

It's a cycle. A beautiful, agonizing cycle. We all know it.
My (Unpopular) Opinion: It's... Complete?
Okay, hear me out. I know this might be blasphemy. But what if Hunter x Hunter is, in its own way, complete?
Think about it. We've seen Gon achieve his initial goal: finding Ging Freecss. He found his dad! The journey was epic.

Sure, there are tons of loose ends. The Dark Continent, Kurapika's vengeance... But maybe that's the point? Life doesn't always tie everything up neatly.
Embrace the Ambiguity!
Maybe the unfinished nature of Hunter x Hunter is a reflection of life itself. Full of potential, ongoing struggles, and unanswered questions.
Plus, think of all the fan theories! The speculation! It keeps the fandom alive, doesn't it? It’s better than a proper end because, at this point, everyone has their own end.

Admit it. You kind of enjoy the chaos.
The Return, Maybe, Hopefully, Eventually...
Of course, a part of me still desperately craves more Hunter x Hunter. I want to see what happens to Kurapika and the Phantom Troupe.
I'm invested! We all are!

And Togashi-sensei did come back recently. So, there’s hope on the horizon.
So, Is It Still Going?
The answer is a resounding... maybe? It's Schrödinger's manga. Simultaneously ongoing and not ongoing until we open the box (aka, a new chapter is released).
Until then, we'll just keep rewatching the anime, rereading the manga, and endlessly debating the Chimera Ant arc.
And maybe, just maybe, holding onto that tiny spark of hope that one day, we'll get to see the end. Or, at least, another few chapters of the journey. Because let's be honest, at this point, any new content is a victory.
