Okay, let’s talk about The Haunting in Connecticut. The movie, based on a book, claims it’s a true story. But is it really?

I’m going to go out on a limb here. Prepare for my unpopular opinion. I think...it's a good yarn, but maybe not 100% factual.

The tale centers on the Snedeker family. They moved into a new house in Connecticut. Turns out, it used to be a funeral home!

Creepy, right? Apparently, things went downhill fast. Spooky visions, personality changes, and general paranormal mayhem ensued.

The family sought help from paranormal investigators, including Ed and Lorraine Warren. Yes, those Warrens. The same ones from the Amityville Horror.

The Warrens Enter the Fray

The Warrens declared the house seriously haunted. Demonic forces were at play, naturally. This added major credibility to the story, at least on the surface.

But here's where my skepticism kicks in. The Warrens had a knack for finding hauntings. Some say they also had a knack for...embellishment. Just saying!

Were they sincere? Probably. Did they sometimes see what they wanted to see? Maybe! Let's just say things get a little fuzzy with some of their stories.
