Plus, the manga chapters after that? They are very dense. And I mean dense with text. Translating that to anime would be a huge undertaking.
The Pacing Problem
The last few manga arcs are filled with complex political maneuvering. Think Game of Thrones but with Nen abilities.
Adapting that into an anime without it feeling rushed or confusing would be tough. Really tough. It would need some serious adaptation skill from the studio Madhouse or any other potential anime studio.
Maybe some things are better left to our imaginations. The beauty of filling in the gaps ourselves. Let's be honest, our fan theories are probably wilder anyway.
So, What's the Verdict?
Will Hunter x Hunter get another season? Maybe. Probably. Eventually. Sometime before we're all living on Mars.
But even if it doesn't, that's okay too. We have the amazing episodes we already have. Countless rewatches await!
