Is Dexter New Blood Coming Back For Season 2

So, everyone's buzzing about Dexter: New Blood Season 2. Will it happen? The internet's a frenzy of theories and hopes. But honestly? I'm kinda hoping it doesn't.
Hear Me Out!
I know, I know! Blasphemy, right? Especially after that ending. Everyone wants to see Harrison's story continue. But sometimes, less is more.
Think about it. The revival was... divisive. Some loved it, some hated it. Is another season really worth the risk?

Why I'm Saying "No, Thanks" (Maybe)
The original Dexter run had its ups and downs. That finale, though? Ouch. Many fans felt betrayed.
New Blood aimed to fix that. It gave us closure, of sorts. It wrapped things up, albeit controversially, for Dexter Morgan.
Now, kicking off another season? It feels like we're tempting fate. Like opening Pandora's Box, but filled with questionable plot twists.

Plus, can we really trust the writers after what happened with Debra Morgan? Seeing her as Dexter's conscience was... an interesting choice. But did it really work?
"Sometimes, the best stories are the ones that know when to end."
That's my motto, anyway. I'm sticking to it.
Harrison's Story: Leave It to the Imagination?
Okay, I'll admit it. Harrison has potential. He's got the Dark Passenger, the daddy issues, the brooding teenager thing going on.
But isn't it more exciting to imagine what happens next? To create our own fan theories and headcanons? Think of all the fan fiction possibilities!

A second season risks ruining that. We might not like where they take his character. He could become... predictable.
Let's keep the mystery alive! Let Harrison's future be whatever we want it to be. A vigilante? A therapist? A lumberjack? The possibilities are endless!
The Unpopular Opinion Club
I'm probably in the minority here. Most people are clamoring for New Blood Season 2. They want answers, resolutions, and more blood splatter.

But I'm okay with being unpopular. I value a good, solid ending. Even if that ending makes me want to throw my remote at the TV.
So, here's my bold statement: Let Dexter: New Blood rest in peace. Let's remember it (however we choose to remember it) and move on.
There are other shows to watch. Other serial killers to obsess over. Other finales to be disappointed by!
But Hey, If It Happens...
Look, if Showtime does decide to greenlight another season, I'll probably watch it. I'm only human (and a sucker for a good crime drama).

But I'll be going in with lowered expectations. I'll be prepared for anything. Even more questionable decisions regarding Debra's ghost.
And who knows? Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Maybe Season 2 will be amazing. Maybe pigs will fly. But until then, I'm firmly on Team "Leave Dexter Alone!"
What do you think? Am I crazy? Or is there a small part of you that agrees with my unpopular opinion? Let me know!
Just please, don't send the Bay Harbor Butcher after me.
