I'm Quitting Heroing Episode 1 Eng Dub

Okay, okay, hear me out! I know what you're thinking.

But let's talk about the first episode of I'm Quitting Heroing, specifically the English dub. I have thoughts.

The Premise? Intriguing!

The basic idea is pretty cool. The hero, Leo Demonheart, is too powerful. Peace reigns. Now what?

He decides to infiltrate the demon army! Sounds like a fun workplace comedy waiting to happen, right?

Sign me up for demon office shenanigans!

The Dub... A Little Less Intriguing?

Here's where my unpopular opinion comes in. I wasn't blown away by the English dub in episode one.

Don't get me wrong, the voice actors are talented. But something felt...off?

Maybe it was the pacing, maybe it was the script. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Did Anyone Else...?

Am I the only one who felt this way? Please tell me I'm not alone!

I went in expecting a laugh riot. I got...mildly amused.

My expectations were probably too high, honestly.

Leo's Voice: A Missed Opportunity?

I imagined Leo having a more weary, sarcastic tone. A "been there, saved the world, done that" kind of vibe.

Instead, the dub gave him a more... generic heroic voice?

It lacked the subtle world-weariness I was hoping for. I needed more ennui!

The Dialogue: A Tad Stiff?

Some of the lines felt a little clunky. Like they didn't quite flow naturally.

Maybe it's a translation issue. Maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I found myself cringing a couple of times. Oops!

Don't Get Me Wrong! It's Still Watchable!

I'm not saying it's bad. Not at all!

It's perfectly serviceable. Just not amazing.

The animation is great! The story has potential!

Hope for Improvement

Maybe the dub will get better as the series progresses. Voice actors settle into their roles.

The script finds its footing. The jokes land better.

I'm definitely willing to give it another shot!

Sub vs. Dub: The Eternal Debate

Of course, this whole thing boils down to the age-old sub vs. dub debate.

Some people swear by subtitles. Others prefer dubs for convenience.

Personally, I usually go for subs. But I wanted to give the I'm Quitting Heroing dub a chance!

Final Thoughts (For Now)

The first episode of the I'm Quitting Heroing English dub was... fine. Just fine.

Not terrible, not groundbreaking. Just… there.

I'm still holding out hope that it will improve! Don't judge me!
