Let's be honest. We love Persona 5. But what if something...fluffy disappeared? Something that meows and judges your sleep schedule. I'm talking about Morgana, the lovable (sometimes annoying) cat.

Imagine Tokyo without him. No more sassy comments. No more forced bedtime. Would the Phantom Thieves even succeed?

No More Nap Time?

The most obvious change? More free time! Finally, you can explore Shibuya at night. No more "You must sleep!" from a talking cat.

Think of all the extra stats you could grind! Maybe you could finally max out that Guts stat. Or maybe just binge-watch TV.

But hold on...is this really a good thing? Would the protagonist descend to video game addiction? Without Morgana, would he even remember to study?

The Phantom Thieves: Cat-astrophic Without a Cat?

Let's face it, Morgana is crucial for dungeon crawling. He's a powerful mage and a reliable navigator. Plus, he turns into a bus. Try finding that on Craigslist.

Could the Phantom Thieves find another guide? Maybe Futaba could hack some city bus schedules. It wouldn't be the same though, would it?

The team would be weaker, for sure. Battles would be longer, and more challenging. The Metaverse is not kind to the unprepared.

A Persona-less Protagonist?

Morgana isn't just a teammate. He is also a mentor. He teaches the protagonist about the Metaverse. And even helps him unlock his Persona.

Without that guidance, the protagonist might never awaken Arsene. He might be stuck as a regular high school student. Imagine, Joker...ordinary?

Maybe he'd just focus on school and his friendships. But the world would be a much worse place. Wouldn't it?

The Velvet Room Without a Cat?

Igor, the Velvet Room master, seems amused by Morgana's antics. Would his absence change the room's atmosphere? Would it become even stranger?

Maybe Igor would find a new animal companion. A talking hamster, perhaps? A sassy parrot, that mocks the protagonist's fashion sense?

The Velvet Room is always a mystery. But, without Morgana, it might become truly unknowable.

So, Is a Cat-less Persona 5 Better?

Okay, I'll admit it. I love Morgana...sort of. He's annoying, yes, but he's also essential.

Without him, the Phantom Thieves would be lost. The protagonist would be powerless. Tokyo would be doomed.

Maybe forced bedtime isn't so bad after all. So, thank you, Morgana. Even if you eat all the tuna.

It's an unpopular opinion, I know, but sometimes...just sometimes...I wish I could stay up a little later in Persona 5.
