I Got Banished From The Hero's Party

So, guess what happened? I got the boot. Yep, the old heave-ho. The Hero's Party, the best of the best, the cream of the crop… decided I wasn't cutting it anymore.
And honestly? It's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
Freedom! Glorious Freedom!
Think about it. You're always stuck doing what everyone else wants. "Go left!" "Fight that goblin!" "Heal Sir Reginald's stubbed toe… again!"
Must Read
It’s like being stuck in a group project where only one person gets to choose the font. Now, I get to choose the whole darn presentation, font and all!
Now I can finally do things my way.
Rediscovering My True Calling (Probably Involving Snacks)
Being a hero is all well and good, but let's be honest, it's exhausting. All that running, sword-swinging, and pretending to be impressed by Elara the Enchantress's latest spell.

Now, I have time to pursue my passions. Like perfecting my cheese and cracker pairings. Or finally learning to knit that sweater I’ve been dreaming about.
Maybe I'll even start a cat sanctuary. The possibilities are endless!
You know, sometimes you don't realize how much a job holds you back from other opportunity, until you don't do it anymore.
Adventures on MY Terms!
Sure, the Hero's Party is off saving the world. But guess what? I'm saving my sanity. I'm conquering my Netflix queue.

Maybe I'll even embark on my own, smaller, much less stressful adventures. Like finding the perfect cup of coffee. Or finally figuring out how to assemble that bookshelf from Ikea.
It may not be slaying dragons, but it's pretty darn heroic in its own way. Less dragon-slaying, more dragon-snacking, am I right?
Embrace the Banishment!
Look, getting kicked out of the cool kids club can sting. I’m not going to lie, I briefly considered challenging Bartholomew the Brave to a duel. Then I remembered I’m terrible at duels. And swords.
But instead of wallowing, I decided to embrace the chaos. I decided to turn my banishment into a boonsignment!

I am now a free agent, a lone wolf, a purveyor of my own destiny! (Also, I’m thinking of opening a bakery. "Banished Bakeries" has a nice ring to it, don't you think?).
So, if you ever find yourself on the receiving end of a heroic pink slip, don't despair. Take a deep breath, order a pizza, and remember that this could be the start of something amazing.
Who knows, maybe I'll even start my own party. A party with blackjack, and hookers! Oh wait, I think that was Futurama.
My point is, I have now a chance to build something new.

Embrace the banishment. Embrace the freedom. And most importantly, embrace the snacks!
After all, who needs saving the world when you can be saving yourself... from boredom?
Now if you excuse me, I have a date with a cheese platter and a good book. It's a tough life, but someone's gotta live it.
And that someone is me. The Banished Baker. I mean, Adventurer. No wait… definitely Baker.
