I Don't Want To Share My Location On Iphone

My iPhone asks me to share my location. Again. And again. I tap "Ask Not to Share." Every. Single. Time.

Am I the only one who feels this way? Location sharing. It's a digital third wheel. Constantly lurking.

Seriously, it feels like a digital chaperone. Always there, watching where I'm going. What I'm doing.

Maybe I want to get lost. Is that so wrong? A little digital detox, fueled by questionable directions.

And those apps! They practically beg for your location. "For a better experience!" Right. A better experience for them.

I understand the convenience. Find nearby restaurants. Get accurate directions.

But sometimes, convenience comes at a price. The price of my digital privacy, perhaps.

Do I really need to let my grocery store know I'm browsing avocados? I think not.

The Unpopular Opinion Express

I know, I know. I'm probably in the minority here. Everyone's sharing their location.

Tracking kids. Coordinating meetups. Finding lost phones. The use cases are endless.

But still, a part of me rebels. A tiny, digital rebel, clinging to a shred of privacy.

Location Sharing Peer Pressure

My friends sometimes look at me funny. "Why don't you share your location?" they ask.

"So we know you're safe!" they exclaim. As if safety is directly proportional to GPS coordinates.

I usually mumble something about battery life. A convenient, semi-truthful excuse.

Speaking of battery life! Let's be honest. Constant location tracking is a power hog.

My phone already struggles to make it through the day. I don't need to add fuel to the fire.

So, in a way, I'm also doing it for practical reasons. Selfish, practical reasons, perhaps.
