Step 1: Gather Your Resources (Duh!)

This might seem insultingly obvious, but you’d be surprised how many times I almost died because I forgot the basics. You’ll need two essential things: Sticks and Lashing. Think of it as the peanut butter and jelly of survival. You can't have a good time without both.

• Sticks: These are your primary fuel. Find them scattered around the island, lying under palm trees, or by hacking at bushes with your trusty (or not-so-trusty) crafted stone axe.
• Lashing: This is what holds everything together. You get it by cutting up fibrous leaves – yucca, palm fronds, the works. Use your knife (you do have a knife, right? Right??) to process them.
