How To See Movies You Watched On Netflix

Ever stare blankly at Netflix, convinced you haven't seen anything good lately?
Then a trailer pops up. "Wait," you think. "Haven't I seen this...?" The struggle is real.
The Mystery of the Missing Memory
Netflix, bless its algorithm-obsessed heart, knows we’re forgetful.
Must Read
It does keep track of what we’ve watched. Somewhere.
Digging for Digital Gold (or Just Old Movies)
Ready for a little detective work? You'll need your computer. Sadly, this doesn't work on the app.
Head to the Netflix website and sign in. Obvious, right? But necessary!
Now, click on your profile icon. It's probably in the upper right corner. Unless they've moved it again.
Account Settings: The Portal to the Past
From the dropdown menu, select "Account." Don't worry, you won't be charged extra just for looking.

Scroll down. Keep scrolling. You're looking for "Profile & Parental Controls." It's usually near the bottom. Netflix loves hiding things.
Expand your profile. Click that little arrow next to your name.
Viewing Activity: The Holy Grail
Here it is! The moment of truth. Click on "Viewing activity."
Prepare to be amazed...or slightly embarrassed by your late-night binges of "Nailed It!"
This page lists everything you've watched, in reverse chronological order.

A Few Annoying Caveats
Okay, it's not perfect. Netflix only shows a certain amount of titles.
If you're a serious binger, you might have to click "Show More" a lot.
Also, profiles can skew the data. Did your roommate watch that awful rom-com using your profile? Now you’re stuck with it.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here's where I get controversial. I actually like seeing what I've watched.
Why? Because sometimes I forget I loved something! It's a great way to rediscover hidden gems.

Sure, it reminds me of questionable choices (I'm looking at you, Nicolas Cage movie marathon!), but hey, no regrets.
Deleting Your Digital Sins
Feeling ashamed of your viewing history? You can delete individual titles.
Just click the little "x" next to the movie or show. Poof! Gone. Like it never happened.
Except Netflix probably still knows. They know everything.
Download Your Data: The Ultimate Deep Dive
Want to go even deeper down the rabbit hole?

You can actually download your entire viewing history. It's a little more complicated, but totally doable.
From the "Viewing activity" page, scroll all the way down. You'll see a link to download. Prepare for a massive spreadsheet!
Beyond the Binge: Taking Control
So, there you have it. The secrets to unlocking your Netflix viewing history.
Now you can confidently say, "Yes, I have seen that," or "No, absolutely not. Never."
Happy streaming! And try not to judge yourself too harshly for those "Tiger King" re-watches. We all have our vices.
