How To Get To Sunken City Spelunky 2

Alright adventurers, gather 'round! Ever heard whispers of a mythical, watery realm in the depths of Spelunky 2? I'm talking about Sunken City, a place so shrouded in mystery, it's practically the Atlantis of platforming! Think Indiana Jones meets Jacques Cousteau. Sound exciting?
But how do you actually get there? It's not exactly a stroll on the beach, let me tell you. It's more like an intricate puzzle box, rewarding patience, skill, and a healthy dose of luck. But hey, that's Spelunky, right?
The First Key: The City of Gold and a Golden Idol
Our journey begins in the City of Gold, that shimmering, perilous location you can access through the Dwelling. Remember that golden idol you probably grabbed and instantly regretted? Yeah, that one.
Must Read
Normally, that idol triggers a nasty boulder trap, sending you scrambling for your life. But this time, we're going to let it do its thing… but with a twist! See that altar hidden somewhere in the level? You need to place that golden idol on the altar. Think of it as returning a sacred artifact. Are you worthy?
Doing this opens up a secret door, leading to the Sister's hideout. Inside, you'll find one of the Sisters (depending on which World you are currently on, it will be a different Sister), and a quest. It's important to note that you need to get one gold key to complete this quest. You are awarded the Udjat Eye.

The Udjat Eye's True Purpose
Now that you have the Udjat Eye, its job is to lead you to the next secret area, which is found inside the Volcana. The Udjat Eye will start flashing and making a sound when you are close to its secrets. In this case, the secret in the Volcana is behind a drill-esque item. It won't drill into anything until you open it using the Udjat Eye. So be careful.
Inside the area is the Tablet of Destiny, a key item you're going to use later.

Abzu: Where the Real Challenge Begins
Okay, things are about to get… wet. After the Jungle or Volcana, you'll usually head to the Tide Pool. But not this time! Armed with the Tablet of Destiny, you'll now be able to access the Abzu area, an alternative exit to the Tide Pools.
Here's the catch: You need to find Hundra, a formidable mini-boss lurking within the Abzu. This is where your combat skills come into play. Blast this underwater beast with everything you've got! Once defeated, Hundra drops Seven League Boots. Grab them – you'll need them!

Tide Pool's Secret: Kingu's Wall
Now, finally, you can enter the Tide Pool. You're not here to relax, though. Remember those Seven League Boots? You're going to put them to good use. Somewhere in the Tide Pool you will find a wall, sometimes high up, other times on the bottom of the level. You need to find Kingu's Wall.
With the Seven League Boots equipped, you can jump and kick through Kingu's Wall. Think of it as a really, really strong wall. Inside is the City of Gold again, but this one is a copy cat. Here you will find Madame Tusk and will need to pay her to pass. Do not attack her or she will turn on you!

The Final Leap
After getting through the door, you will see a giant locked door. Use the Tablet of Destiny here, and you will be sent down to the Sunken City.
Is it worth all this trouble? Absolutely! Sunken City is packed with unique enemies, tricky traps, and, of course, tons of loot. Plus, you get major bragging rights among the Spelunky community. After all, who doesn't want to explore a lost city beneath the waves?
So, are you ready to take the plunge? Good luck, and happy spelunking!
