How To Get To Halls Of Valor Dragonflight

How To Get To Halls Of Valor Dragonflight

Alright friend, so you wanna raid some valkyries and feel like a true Viking warrior? (Without, you know, all the pillaging and horned helmets...those are so last millennium). You're after Halls of Valor in Dragonflight, and I'm here to tell you, it's easier than wrestling a Murloc for a shiny trinket. Let’s get you there!

First Things First: Leveling Up (Duh!)

Okay, I know, stating the obvious is so my thing, but bear with me. You're going to need to be, at minimum, level 60 to even think about entering Halls of Valor in Dragonflight. Preferably, you'll want to be level 70, kitted out in some decent gear. Otherwise, those val'kyr are going to make you their personal chew toy. Trust me, you don't want to be Odyn's chew toy either. Talk about performance reviews!

Picking Your Difficulty

Halls of Valor is available in several flavors: Normal, Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+. Each one gets progressively harder, like trying to explain the lore of WoW to a newcomer. Good luck with that! The higher the difficulty, the better the loot, naturally. Start with Normal if you're just exploring, and work your way up as your gear and skill improve. Don't be a hero (yet!).

Getting There: The Physical Journey

Now for the actual getting there part. HoV is located in the Stormheim zone, which is part of the Broken Isles (the continent from the Legion expansion). Yep, we're time traveling a bit! You'll need to fly to Stormheim first. If you haven't explored the Broken Isles already, you'll probably want to take a portal from your faction’s capital city. For Alliance, that's Stormwind, and for Horde, that's Orgrimmar. The portal will whisk you away to Dalaran, the central hub of the Broken Isles. From there, it's a short flight to Stormheim.

Once you're in Stormheim, head to the north-eastern part of the zone. You can't miss it! It's a giant, imposing structure floating in the sky. Think Mount Everest, but, you know, airborne and with more Vikings.

Getting Inside: Summoning Stones and Dungeon Finders

Here's where things get slightly less physically strenuous. You have a couple of options:

  • The Summoning Stone: This is the OG way. If you’re running with a group, everyone can meet at the dungeon entrance. Then, those who are inside the dungeon can use the Summoning Stone to teleport their tardy friends who are still admiring the scenery (or, let's be honest, grabbing snacks). Remember, you need two people inside to activate it.
  • The Dungeon Finder (The Lazy Person's Delight): Hit the "I" key (that's the default keybind, but if you've remapped it to something weird like "Ctrl+Alt+Delete," I can’t help you). Select "Dungeon Finder" (or "Raid Finder" if you're feeling really ambitious) and choose Halls of Valor. Then queue up! The game will automatically find a group for you (or let you create your own pre-made group) and teleport you directly to the dungeon entrance. Just be sure you have a good internet connection! Nothing's more embarrassing than disconnecting right before a big boss fight.

Pro-Tip: Set Your Hearthstone

This is crucial! Before you head into the dungeon, set your Hearthstone to a nearby inn (Dalaran is usually a safe bet). That way, if things go horribly wrong (and trust me, they can), you can quickly teleport back to safety and lick your wounds...or just respec your talents. Whatever works.

One Last Thing: Bragging Rights!

Once you've conquered Halls of Valor, don't forget to take screenshots! Show off your loot, your achievements, and your newfound Viking prowess. Post them on social media, brag to your friends, and maybe even start a YouTube channel dedicated to your epic raids. (Okay, maybe not the YouTube channel. Unless...?).

Congratulations, you've done it! You've braved the halls of the valkyr and emerged victorious. Now go forth, champion, and continue your adventures in the Dragon Isles. And remember, even if you wipe a few times, it's all part of the fun. (Just don't blame me when Odyn yells at you).

Happy raiding!
